Much too young

GARTH BROOKS - "Much Too Young (To Feel This Damn Old)"

This ol' highway's getting longer
Seems there ain't no end in sight
To sleep would be best, but I just can't afford to rest
I've got to ride in Denver tomorrow night

I called the house but no one answered
For the last two weeks no one's been home
I guess she's through with me, to tell the truth I just can't see
What's kept the woman holding on this long

And the white line's getting longer and the saddle's getting cold
I'm much too young to feel this damn old
All my cards are on the table with no ace left in the hole
I'm much too young to feel this damn old

The competition's getting younger
Tougher broncs, you know I can't recall
The worn out tape of Chris LeDoux, lonely women and bad booze
Seem to be the only friends I've left at all

And the white line's getting longer and the saddle's getting cold
I'm much too young to feel this damn old
All my cards are on the table with no ace left in the hole
I'm much too young to feel this damn old

Lord, I'm much too young to feel this damn old

Deepavali kat opis

Well not withstanding the fact there are now double the number of Indians (from 1 increase to 2 lol) in the office as per what I usually do it was a dewali breakfast with a RM 200 budget Held in the office pantry

It was fun and my MD also joined in, the basis was traditionla indina food like tosai, idiyappam (putu mayam) and idli was available wiht fish curry and sambar and chutney... slurp

We also had an assortment of traditional indian cookies from muruku, acchu muruku / toothachi, ghee ball, and ladhu

Nice but work still comes 1st

In the end I had a surprised pair of visitors, one of them a lovely darling of mine.... pull them into the pantry for makan

Titles that say it all

Liverpool end Chelsea record

Xabi Strike Smashes Chelsea's Unbeaten Run

Liverpool end Chelsea's 86-game unbeaten home record

A deflected goal from Xabi was enough to see Rafa Benítez's side rack up a victory over Luis Felipe Scolari's charges.

After 86 league games without tasting defeat at Stamford Bridge, something finally gave as Xabi's deflected effort silenced the home crowd.

A few anti chelsea songs... ( awww come on m sure we can take it with a pinch of salt)

to the tune of 99 bottles of beeer on the walll,....

50,000 w***ers going to Stamford Bridge
50,000 w***ers going to Stamford Bridge
But if one Chechen rebel should shoot Abramovitch
There'll be no ****ing W***ers and no Stamford Bridge

to the tune of London Bridge

Stamford Bridge is falling down!
Falling down! Falling down!
Stamford Bridge is falling down,
Poor old Chelsea!

For anyone who is down

"Whenever I get gloomy with the state of the world, I think about the arrivals gate at Heathrow Airport. General opinion's starting to make out that we live in a world of hatred and greed, but I don't see that. It seems to me that love is everywhere. Often it's not particularly dignified or newsworthy, but it's always there - fathers and sons, mothers and daughters, husbands and wives, boyfriends, girlfriends, old friends. When the planes hit the Twin Towers, as far as I know none of the phone calls from the people on board were messages of hate or revenge - they were all messages of love. If you look for it, I've got a sneaking suspision love actually is all around. "

Terry Fox Run - Kuala Lumpur - Marathon of Hope.

This the 2007 tshirt
Marathon of Hope.

The Terry Fox Run is an annual non-competitive charity event held in numerous regions across the globe in commemoration of Canadian cancer activist Terry Fox, and his Marathon of Hope, and to raise money for cancer research.

An active teenager involved in many sports, Terry was only 18 years old when he was diagnosed with osteogenic sarcoma (bone cancer) and forced to have his right leg amputated 15 centimetres (six inches) above the knee in 1977.

While in hospital, Terry was so overcome by the suffering of other cancer patients, many of them young children, that he decided to run across Canada to raise money for cancer research.

He would call his journey the Marathon of Hope.

After 18 months and running over 5,000 kilometres (3,107 miles) to prepare, Terry started his run in St. John’s, Newfoundland on April 12, 1980 with little fanfare. Although it was difficult to garner attention in the beginning, enthusiasm soon grew, and the money collected along his route began to mount. He ran 42 kilometres (26 miles) a day through Canada's Atlantic provinces, Quebec and Ontario.

It was a journey that Canadians never forgot.

However, on September 1st, after 143 days and 5,373 kilometres (3,339 miles), Terry was forced to stop running outside of Thunder Bay, Ontario because cancer had appeared in his lungs. An entire nation was stunned and saddened. Terry passed away on June 28, 1981 at age 22.

Unlike other major fund raising events, the Terry Fox Run has no corporate sponsorship. This is in accordance with Terry Fox's original wishes of not seeking fame or fortune from his endeavour. During his cross-Canada run, he turned down every endorsement he was offered (including from major multinationals such as McDonald's), as he felt that it would detract from his goal of creating public awareness. The current Terry Fox Runs have no advertisements on any race related materials (such as t-shirts, banners, etc).

The run is the single largest single-day cancer fundraiser in the world.

Lets Run together... you coming?.

The run will take place on 2 November 2008 (Flag off 9.00 am) at Taman Tasik Perdana (Lake Gardens). Participants are to be at the assembly area by 8.45 am. All participants must run on the designated route. The Terry Fox Run is an all-inclusive family event and there is no charge to participate in the Terry Fox Run.

Time to cook!!!!!!!! -

Oh Boy!!!! - Quantum Leap

On March 26, 1989, NBC aired the pilot for a television show that would have a fan cult following years after the series had ended on May 5th, 1993. Combining science-fiction and drama with a hint of comedy and a splash of adventure, the series lasted four and a half seasons including ninety-five episodes.

From the producer of Magnum P.I., Airwolf, Battlestar Galactica, and JAG came the series fans still long for and newcomers become entranced by: Quantum Leap.

I am an "Oh Boy!" cult follower lol and this blog summarizes the adventures of Dr. Samuel Beckett and wisecraking observer Admiral "Al" Calavicci through time and space.

Project Quantum Leap led by Dr. Sam Beckett theorizing that "One could time-travel within his own lifetime, run by a supercomputer called Ziggy." Theorizing one could time travel within his own lifetime, Dr Sam Beckett stepped into the Quantum Leap Accelerator and vanished. He awoke to find himself trapped in the past, facing mirror images that were not his own, and driven by an unknown force to change history for the better. His only guide on this journey is Al, an observer from his own time, who appears in the form of a hologram that only Sam can see and hear. And so, Dr Beckett finds himself leaping from life to life, striving to put right what once went wrong, and hoping that each time his next leap would be the leap home.

I love the opening and the ending of episode make my sit on the edge of my seat

well all said and done time and time I am face with this subject. Especially with its amongst, friends, colleagues or even acquaintances.. the sorry part is you can see right thru it..

So on Friday midnight after Junior Vadai and I went to the fun fair returning home at mid night I am heading home parking the car when I get an sms invite for a Raya party at a frens house at the lunch the next day and to bring another friend called Z along.

Unfortunately, Z kind of blurted out and ask me if I could show him the way 12 hours earlier.... my plain simple and direct to the point reply was " I am not invited but I can tell you where the house is near..."

When you know you not invited I offered the assistance on direction and mind my own business and made my plans...

Then I get an sms from the host inviting me at midnight!!! I kindly decline saying I can makeit... then another sms .. why!!! I said I already made plans and wish the host good night.

Maybe I should stop being nice and said ... excuse me if want to invite pls la invite early... dun last minute... and if you want to invte me on the pretense coz you want someone else to come, make sure I dun know about it lol

lessons learned hahahahahaah fark lessons learned

Talk about comebacks

Kop Comeback Kings Sink Latic Threat

Liverpool maintained their unbeaten home league record in 2008 with a stunning 3-2 comeback victory, but how Wigan made them fight. The Anfield men are specialising in dramatic comebacks, a Dirk Kuyt brace sandwiched by a Riera strike sunk Wigan's early efforts as despite taking the lead twice through Amr Zaki, it was Liverpool who emerged triumphant.

Liverpool 3-2 Wigan Athletic

We cannot keep on coming from behind to win..... we got to start winning from the front

As the gaffer says ......Rafa Benitez warned his players they must make life easier on themselves if their title charge is to remain on course after Liverpool again came from behind to win 3-2 against Wigan.
