Pregnant Lady on the bus - ROTFLMAO

A lady about 8 months pregnant got on a bus. She noticed the man opposite her was smiling at her. She immediately moved to another seat. This time the smile turned into a grin, so she moved again. The man seemed more amused. When on the fourth move, the man burst out laughing, she complained to the driver and he had the man arrested.

The case came up in court.

The judge asked the man (about 20 years old) what he had to say for himself.

The man replied, "Well your Honor, it was like this: When the lady got on the bus, I couldn't help but notice her condition. She sat down under a sign that said, 'The Double Mint Twins are Comin' And I grinned."

"Then she moved and sat under a sign that said, 'Logan's Liniment will reduce the swelling', and I had to smile.

"Then she placed herself under a deodorant sign that said, "William's Big Stick Did the Trick", and I could hardly contain myself."

"BUT, your Honor, when She moved the fourth time and sat under a sign that said, 'Goodyear Rubber could have prevented this Accident'…I just lost it."

    "CASE DISMISSED!!"

    Blogging

Jen had an interesting blog this morning, nothing personal or directly attacking about it but it hit the nail on the spot

When we blog, its a personal diary, its a fashion, its a trend like it or not its out there. People who blog comes for all walk of life shapes and sizes and know what they write coz its their personal view. What we as bloggers type are out thought, our feeling our...etc etc etc at that present time.

    Aint no crime

The crime is people who read them and formulate an opinion, a judgement and take action based on the reading against the person. Oh boy how many times have I had to defend my self against people who read my blog, going gun blazing and having to justify. One could say F.O to them and move on but we value them and trying to justify, maybe we are just too nice. Now its simple ....Simple, if you cant take what is written in future dont read.

Reminds me of a recent episode of One Tree Hill where a time capsule was stolen. The student had put a time capsule of their innermost thoughts and feeling for the future so no one present would read them. Good or bad, right or wrong it was read and immediately people resented each other. To make a long story short something are not meant to be read dun read, if yuou read and you dun like... cant do anything about it.

Back to bloggin... to quote " Here's a thing about blogging.

When you start blogging you end up writing all your deepest thoughts.

Sometimes that's good, sometimes it's not.

Sometimes you seem to be over-inflating that ego. You can't be humble on a blog, or in a diary.

    You can't!

You can TRY to explain yourself away, but it'll sound like you're creating excuses to those most cynical and paranoid people who read your blog.

They'll put in cynical comments, either in their own head, or by commenting on your blog.

It MAY hurt, it may not.

It MAY cause trouble to your real time life, or it may not.

If it MAY, it probably CAN and WILL.

    ..........................

And yes when the sun goes down and the cows come home we will still end up debating about this.

    Life goes on

    Summons Part 2

There was always going to be an aura when you meet some form of Royalty of another, either its form within or its surroundings. He was an aura who treated people with respect. Sitting beside him as we chatted was cherished.

So arriving late for my appointment so it was rescheduled, our 30 minute or so conversation was centralized around hockey. Not like I was being made President, or why only after 18 months he want to know the reasons I walked away. He was professional and I did my best to match that.

Surprisingly he did ask how I am coming along, bout my family and jnr vadai, he also asked bout my job and how I was doing.

He had certain plans that he wanted me to be apart of both internationally and nationally but I decline both for monetary reason and principal. Maybe in 5 years who knows but for now there are bigger priorities in my life. Despite turning him down he was polite and appreciative.

Life goes on and we move forward.

    Summoned

Its been almost 18 months since I walked away from Hockey walked away quietly into the night. Today I received a summons to make myself present. HRH's PA has requested my presence. Initially I decline but then again you cant say no.

I was the Assistant Secretary and walked away from the politics. I have great respect for him and
I already can guess with the Elections for the National Body being today and the state of the politics in MHF, this wont be a good meeting.

    Sigh

    Gosh I am sleepy....

Was in an unexpected sms chat with a close confidant, did not expect it to last till 4am. We talked a lot of things coz we not chatted in a long time. So we 'talked' bout each individual life how far we have progressed or not. Life was about Jnr Vadai and this was a great weekend for me.

There is always a time and place for everything and sometime in life you dont get second chances, so you could cry all night and this will still be the same and all you would have is a good cry but when it dawn upon you that sometime being at the wrong place at the wrong time or missed opportunities or not taking the road less travelled you can end up lamenting what could have been.

Then it be time to move on, you can relive the past you move forward and as you move forward, you learn form past screw-ups pothole not to thread on those ground and make the same mistakes twice.

In the end you can stay at one spot and rot to death or move forward and avoid the same pot holes...

    Vadai moved on

    A song I heard

Sitting back after a hectic travelling journey kicking back when a guitarist plays this song. My 1st time there and was amazed at his selection especially this song

It started off a country westers but there is so many version of this

    Nobody's Child

I was slowly passing an orphan's home one day
And stopped there for a moment just to watch the children play
Alone a boy was standing and when I asked him why
He turned with eyes that could not see and he began to cry

    I'm nobody's child, I'm nobody's child
I'm like a flower just growing wild
No mommy's kisses and no daddy's smile
Nobody wants me I'm nobody's child

People come for children and take them for their own
But they all seem to pass me by and I am left alone
I know they'd like to take me but when they see I'm blind
They always take some other child and I am left behind

No mother's arms to hold me or soothe me when I cry
Sometimes it gets so lonely here I wish that I could die
I'd walk the streets of heaven where all the blind can see
And just like all the other kids there'd be a home for me

    [spoken]
I just can't seem to figure out
Why the folks all pass me by
Cause I know that it's true that god takes
Little blind children with him in the sky
And they tell me that I'm oh so pretty
And they seem to like my big curls of gold
But then they take some other little child
And I'm left here all alone

    I'm nobody's child, I'm nobody's child
I'm like a flower just growing wild
No mommy's kisses and no daddy's smile
Nobody wants me I'm nobody's child

    Time to drive back.

Son By Four - Purest Of Pain

No reflection to any event a song I used to be a lead singer to a band in Palm Beach

I'm sorry I didn't mean to call you, but I couldn't fight it
I guess I was weak and couldn't even hide it
and so I surrender just to hear your voice
    (just to ehar your voice)
I know how many times I said I'm gonna to live without you
and maybe someone else is standing there beside you
but there's something baby that you need to know

that deep inside me I feel like I'm dying
I have to see you it's all that I'm asking.
Vida, give me back my fantasies
the courage that I need to live
    the air that I breathe
carino mio, my world becomes so empty
my day's are so cold and lonely
    and each night I taste
    the purest of pain.
I wish I could tell you I'm feeling better every day
that it didn't hurt me when you walked away
but to tell you the truth I can't find my way
and deep inside me I feel like I'm dying
I have to see you it's all that I'm asking.
    Vida, give me back...

Repairing your own Car Part 2

Having an MSN chat with Jen was talking bout a nagging problem I been having my radiator past few weeks. I pinned it down to the water pump leaking. In my opinion it was not as serious as I had the temperature under control. I had to replace the unit eventually. At the back of my mind I did realise the graveness of the problem and how the cost and bill and damage could spiral out of control, If my gamble did not work out

Jen drilled into me fact I had already known and in a space of one hour the following had taken place

    a) Fark Badminton
    b) Get a detailed understanding of the problem
    c) Immediately told the Sifu
    d) Sifu got to procure the parts (talk about speed)
    e) Confirm Part got
    f) Make plans to repair that very night
    g) Confirm the time to meet in Sifu workshop

Well it was awesome repairing you own car (especially when ur on a tight budget) and I had not 1 but 2 Sifu. Snr Sifu and Jnr Sifu and I was like a dumb deer caught in the headlights of the as they went on rambling (time to shut up). So like an apprentice started t work on the car as they instructed me in areas where they application was needed they stepped in. I could say I did about 70% of the work and finally a new water pump for the car was installed along the way the mounting for my aircond was adjusted, aircond gas topped up ( as if I was not cold enough) and tested the car and it worked successfully. Jen also snapped a pic of me working on the car.

The finish product was gratifying. (see pics)

    Damage
    Water Pump RM50
    Radiator Butterfly thingy RM2
Roti Canai & Tea RM 7
After work Belanja Makan Hokkien Mee & Cantonese Mee RM 15 for Jnr Sifu, Snr Sifu and the baby girl (till today amazed at my facial hair and swimming pool)

The cost of shivering all the way back home PRICELESS!!!

Repairing your own Car Part 1

    Project Rewiring Car Lights

Desperate times call for desperate measures. I aint no grad in mechnical or wiring but it dun take Einstein to figure out the basic wiring for the car light. I earlier in the week at my lot I started to dismantle check the wiring and read just the connection points. A can of lubricant, wiring tape, strips and lots of sweat the problem is resolved. For the record its not functioning well

    A decent meal

So Monday after a damm fulfilling futsal session, body aching, mind happy from my work out went to makan. My eyes caught the "Milled Kampung Chicken Wine" dish and a plate of noodles. The only think I had extra of was spoons.

It was a lovely dish a bit oily not like home made but who care. Body felt good mind even betetr and a small burp.

Not a meal I can afford every day (RM10 per pot), but worth ever sip

Before I Die - Northern Lights

There are things in life you wish to see. A fact you cant runaway from. Me, m a guy like to see nature at its best instead of man made thingy... I have been blessed being able to travel and if there something I am dying to see it would be the Northerns Lights

Trust me its fucking worth watching it. Wat is it? After the pic got explantion lol

    Nature's own fireworks

Should you be outdoors one evening during winter, take a minute and glance up at the skies. If you're lucky you might catch a glimpse of some flickering curtains of lights, apparently dancing across the dark sky. You are watching the northern lights, a celestial phenomenon that has amazed people for centuries.

A well-known author after watching a beautiful aurora in its fullest splendour, concluded, "No pencil can draw it, no colours can paint it and no words can describe it in all its magnificence."

    The name

The northern lights have had a number of names through history. The scientific name for the phenomena is Aurora Borealis, which is Latin and translates into the red dawn of the north. It was the Italian scientist Galileo Galilei (1564-1642) who first used the expression. On the latitude where Galileo was living, northern lights consist of mainly red colour.

In this web site we will use the terms northern lights, aurora, aurora borealis and polar lights to describe it.

    Aurora Borealis - Northern Lights - Nordlys(Norwegian)
    Aurora Australis - Southern Lights - Sørlys(Norwegian)
Aurora Polaris - Polar lights - Polarlys(Norwegian) (both northern and southern lights)

    Saying Goody bye

As we evolve, progress or whatever word we choose to associate friends will come and go. They is human nature. Wat ever reason they go its another story, the fact still remains, saying goodbye to them can be bitter sweet. In some you can sense the parting in some you dun realise till it hits you.

I understand. "Goodbyes" can be difficult to say. But some of my goodbyes are the bittersweet moments I will never forget. In the end, either way its for the better

Today I say goodbye to another friend in my life. I understand the reason as much as I would hate to accept it in reality it would take 2 hands to clap.

    God speed my friend. Boooya

    Day 43

2 more days to go to win the bet!!!

    Being Tag Teamed over dinner

I guess I got suckered into this position. From time to time we get conned into a position and regretfully have to draw the lines on far we can bend the rules. So an innocent dinner meeting changed to a proposal for business.

Thanks to my boss I ended up with this on my head. After heading to Low Yatt for another procurement session it started to rain on the later part of the evening. My boss buzzes me to meet some former distributors and sort out their order so the client does not get affected. A quick shower and I was out of the door for my 7.30pm dinner meeting.

Santini is a nice cozy place and having the Business Development Manager and Sales Manager both females, was not an easy task. Dinner was great and more importantly FOC lol only drawback is I am not drinking. They drank though.

The food is really good and well priced - they have a brick pizza oven behind the bar and you watch the chef make your pizza. The restaurant is located at the Suria KLCC, right in the heart of Kuala Lumpur city. It provides guests with an exciting view of the fountain and landscaped walkway.

Generally its not easy to say no to someone who lavish you with food. But our policy is a policy and I was hard head bout it. So we have a lovely dinner, company was lovelier and build with what we got without bending the rules too much. There was lots of lobbying and innuendoes in the end, everybody goes home happi and full Burp!!. Oh yeah they have to buy me beer next time.

So left by 9+ headed home exhausted and KO terus. Damm tiring day

    Something Soothing

Man Bai - Kau Ilham Ku

    (written by: Asmin Mudin)

    Beribu bintang dilangit
    Kini menghilang
    Meraba aku dalam kelam
    Rembulan mengambang
    Kini makin suram
    Pudar ilhamku tanpa arah

    Sedetik wajahmu muncul
    Dalam diam
    Ada kerdipan ada sinar
    Itukah bintang atau rembulan
    Terima kasih kuucapkan

    1
    Izinkan kumencuri bayangan wajahmu
    Izinkan ku mencuri khayalan denganmu
    Maafkanlah oh...
    Andai lagu ini
    Mengganggu ruangan hidupmu
    Kau senyumlah oh...
    Sekadar memori
    Kita di arena ini
    Kau ilhamku
    Kau ilhamku...

    Sunday

Working thru the night to reconstruct my laptop (thanks god for backups) was a late Saturday and an early Sunday, TGV Beach bash was today and thats about it. It all fell wayward with plans being changed and changed.

There was a bigger issue at stake so the TGV not working out to plan was no big deal.

A few blogs ago, I posted this.

We are so accustomed to disguise ourselves to others that in the end we become disguised to ourselves.
    Francois de La Rochefoucauld
    French author & moralist (1613 - 1680)

'History does not change, but what we want from it does.'

We are so accustomed to feeding of past history we dun look to the present first before looking at the future. We live daily trying to move forward and time and time again society to a futher extend people use history as a basis of a platform, nothing wrong in that but when people refuse to budge from the basis of opinion you can only walk with them for so long.... sooner or later it be time to move forward. Parting words....

'History does not change, but reality does.'

Never look back they say...Some people make complicated things simple, some people make simple thigns complicated, Thats human nature...the winner who adapts to both and lives each day

    A phone call

    With more and more

Got a phone call from an Uncle, (I did get a heads up he will call) his daughters wedding coming up and to invite personally. Long story short, was not planning to go coz of of my cousin, there was no purpose but how have to put that aside for the bigger picture.

In a family of 36 over cousins I been the rebel and the black sheep, I been the hot head as well the 1st to roll the sleeves in any event be it a wedding and a funeral. I never been afraid of throwing a plate at a relative or standing up to face one. So when the call came, I knew what it meant. Here is a guy touching 60 (that I look up to) asking a guy half his age in not so direct term to forgive the tresspassing of his daughter and support him. Do I be an asshole and hold on to my ego?

He knows I am in KL (not so big secret anymore) and it being on Friday made my mind muddle more. In the end I probably go, a compramise maybe, forsaking my position maybe but it dun change whats between me and her. Guess my mom would be surprised

    More IT purchases

We grow bigger and bigger but where the moolah?

Who is to configure this? Vadai la who else

    Alanis Morissette - Ironic

Irony is hard to explain but the example i can think of is the saying 'be sincere whether you mean it or not' - Its a great song with good meaning coz there is irony I can name a few people around me that would drive me up the wall with their irony alas I rather look in the mirror at my self and live my self

    Alanis Morissette - Ironic

    An old man turned ninety-eight
He won the lottery and died the next day
It's a black fly in your Chardonnay
It's a death row pardon two minutes too late
Isn't it ironic... don't you think?

It's like rain on your wedding day
It's a free ride when you've already paid
It's the good advice that you just didn't take
    Who would've thought... it figures

Mr. Play It Safe was afraid to fly
He packed his suitcase and kissed his kids goodbye
He waited his whole damn life to take that flight
And as the plane crashed down he thought
    "Well isn't this nice..."
And isn't it ironic... don't you think?

It's like rain on your wedding day
It's a free ride when you've already paid
It's the good advice that you just didn't take
    Who would've thought... it figures

Well life has a funny way of sneaking up on you
When you think everything's okay and everything's going right
And life has a funny way of helping you out when
You think everything's gone wrong and everything blows up
    In your face

A traffic jam when you're already late
A no-smoking sign on your cigarette break
It's like ten thousand spoons when all you need is a knife
It's meeting the man of my dreams
And then meeting his beautiful wife
And isn't it ironic... don't you think?
A little too ironic... and yeah I really do think...

It's like rain on your wedding day
It's a free ride when you've already paid
It's the good advice that you just didn't take
    Who would've thought... it figures

Life has a funny way of sneaking up on you
Life has a funny, funny way of helping you out
    Helping you out.

    Black Saturday

Already from reeling from a meaningless weekend since the TGV Beach Bash came crashing down like a deck of stacked up cards. Woke up today morning a power surge had knocked out my laptop more headache and more $$$$. What level of the laptop is salvageable remains to be seen.

So the no plans Saturday has turned to go-to-imbi-repair-laptop Saturday

    Sigh

    A wet wet Friday

Already reeling from the hectic Thursday of setting out 15 quotes closing same day and having to decide margins and make money for the company it can get pretty hectic. Of course you have your standard policy versus marker and competitor forces and once in a while you hold the ace and you get to dictate the margin and when we get the PO, I stand up and pat my self on my own back. My boss usually looks at me with much amusement

Friday was not that promising either. Having spend the earlier half of the day trying to taper down frayed nerves and tension and emotion of certain family members due to Jnr Vadai's illness and mischief which landed him in the clinic. I juggled my work and a chat with a fren. Sadly there was nothing positive I could take form then conversation, having to defend my way of life and thought and conduct. Here I was chatting with a person who started on a journey to assume what i I was actually thinking, what I was actually planning and blah blah blah. I saved a log of the conversation coz it was interesting, frustrating but nothing can be done when people decide to classify themselves as low class without me giving any hint or indication and for the record I dun even treat me fren and never uttered a word.

Too bad when people start judging for others and formulating ideas in their head without rhyme or reason. For that we can only watch.

Getting ready to head back it started pouring buckets stayed around the office grab a bite and finally reach home at 8.30pm Nothing planned for the weekend and the TGV Beach Bash became not worth going anymore. Guess I get into a VCD movie marathon.

    Not being invited

Today someone that I have come to known from a previous circle of friends got married. Tonight will be the dinner at Melia. I am not invited. I am not peeved not upset heck it did not affect me.

Another friend sms me, hearing I was not invited. My answer was simple, dun matter if we were hanging out together, dun matter if we were buddies if the person does not invite they will have their own reasons and its not the end of the world. Life goes on.

As simple as that, I dun give too thought bout where I was not invited. Always other thing to do but too many people anguish and ponder and debate bout why they went invited, why like that, how come, etc etc etc. Hey why fret over all these things, when they born or when they die, what the heck you dont get a personal invitation either.

    hahaha

    This song makes me smile

No matter how low life can get you no matter how deep a hold you can be no matetr how lost you feel there is always a song that can lift you. For me this in one of it. I aint a great fan of Malay songs but I am a fan of the talent and the depth some of the singers and songwriters formthe Sudirman, to P.Ramlee, to Alleycat to Man Bai to Sheila Majid to many more including this guy ( I could smile and sing to this)

ZAINAL ABIDIN » Ikhlas Tapi Jauh

Bila bila kiranya diriku perlu, Hari yang murung
    Terdengar nada yang riang ria

Sekali suara meyakinkan jiwa, Kaku langkah mengaguminya
    Kaku menerimanya

    Selagi bahuku, Memikul bebannya
    Selagi hayatku, Merasa siksamu

    Selama senyuman, Menjadi senyumku
Ku bawa wajahmu, Walau diriku jauh ..

    Jauh ..

Bila bila kiranya diriku perlu, Hari yang murung
    Terdengar nada yang riang

We are so young and free, Full of desire, flying higher and higher
Oooh .. feel so strong ..

    Selagi bahuku, Memikul bebannya
    Selagi hayatku, Merasa siksamu

    Selama senyuman, Menjadi senyumku
Ku bawa wajahmu, Walau diriku jauh ..

    Jauh ..

    Selagi bahuku, Memikul bebannya
    Selagi hayatku, Merasa siksamu

    Selama senyuman, Menjadi senyumku
Ku bawa wajahmu, Walau diriku jauh ..

    Jauh ..

"Walk A Mile In My Shoes"

A special dedication to a fren!!
My past life you may know some of it but it will never give you the right judge me for the way I live my life now. A horse with blinders just working on instinct. Thats how wrong you are

"Walk A Mile In My Shoes"

    (As recorded by Joe South)
    JOE SOUTH

If I could be you and you could be me for just one hour
If we could find a way to get inside each other's mind
If you could see me through your eyes instead of your ego
I believe you'd be surprised to see that you'd been blind.

Walk a mile in my shoes, walk a mile in my shoes
And before you abuse, criticize and accuse
Walk a mile in my shoes.

Now your whole world you see around you is just a reflection
And the law of common says you reap just what you sow
So unless you've lived a life of total perfection
You'd better be careful of every stone that you throw.

Walk a mile in my shoes, walk a mile in my shoes
And before you abuse, criticize and accuse
Walk a mile in my shoes.

And yet we spend the day throwing stones at one another
'Cause I don't think or wear my hair the same way you do
Well I may be common people but I'm your brother
And when you strike out and try to hurt me its a-hurtin' you.

Walk a mile in my shoes, walk a mile in my shoes
And before you abuse, criticize and accuse
Walk a mile in my shoes.

There are people on reservations and out in the ghettos
And brother there but for the grace of God go you and I
If I only had the wings of a little angel
Don't you know I'd fly to the top of the mountain, and then I'd cry.

Walk a mile in my shoes, walk a mile in my shoes
And before you abuse, criticize and accuse
Walk a mile in my shoes, shoes.

    Alzheimer’s (AHLZ-high-merz)

Alzheimer’s (AHLZ-high-merz) disease is a progressive brain disorder that gradually destroys a person’s memory and ability to learn, reason, make judgments, communicate and carry out daily activities. As Alzheimer’s progresses, individuals may also experience changes in personality and behavior, such as anxiety, suspiciousness or agitation, as well as delusions or hallucinations.

Although there is currently no cure for Alzheimer’s, new treatments are on the horizon as a result of accelerating insight into the biology of the disease. Research has also shown that effective care and support can improve quality of life for individuals and their caregivers over the course of the disease from diagnosis to the end of life.

The usual first symptom noticed is short term memory loss which progresses from seemingly simple and often fluctuating forgetfulness (with which the disease should not be confused) to a more pervasive loss of short-term memory, then of familiar and well-known skills or objects or persons. Aphasia, disorientation and disinhibition often accompany the loss of memory. Alzheimer's disease may also include behavioral changes, such as outbursts of violence or excessive passivity in people who have no previous history of such behavior. In the later stages, deterioration of musculature and mobility, leading to bedfastness, inability to feed oneself, and incontinence, will be seen if death from some external cause (e.g. heart attack or pneumonia) does not intervene. Average duration of the disease is approximately 7–10 years, although cases are known where reaching the final stage occurs within 4–5 years, or in some reported cases up to 22 years.

    Stages and symptoms

    • Mild — At the early stage of the disease, patients have a tendency to become less energetic or spontaneous, though changes in their behavior often goes unnoticed even by the patients' immediate family.
    • Moderate — As the disease progresses to the middle stage, the patient might still be able to perform tasks independently, but may need assistance with more complicated activities.
    • Severe — As the disease progresses from the middle to late stage, the patient will undoubtedly not be able to perform even the simplest of tasks on their own and will need constant supervision. They may even lose the ability to walk or eat without assistance.
It would be a curse to wake up and not to realise who the people around you are, to wake up and face them in clarity but to be in their shoes and face a stranger who they love day after day figuring out who they are.......

    Hope never to have it

    A song for the times

    Sting - Fragile

If blood will flow, when flesh and steel are one
Drying in the color, of the evening sun
Tomorrow's rain, will wash the stains away
    But something in our minds
    will always stay

Perhaps this final act was meant
    To clinch a lifetime's argument
    That nothing comes from violence
    and nothing ever could
For all those born beneath an angry star
Lest we forget how fragile we are

On and on the rain will fall
    Like tears from a star
    like tears from a star
On and on the rain will say
    How fragile we are
    How fragile we are

On and on the rain will fall
    Like tears from a star
    like tears from a star
On and on the rain will say
    How fragile we are
    How fragile we are

this is one of the most beautiful songs i have ever heard. tells us how valuable our lives are, but we dont realize it until they're lost ... at least thats what i think of when i listen to it. the 'true' message/s (not the one that i have in mind) would have to be: how meaningless violence is, how valuable our lives are etc.

Mindless robberies, people getting killed for the wrong reasons, people killing for the wrong reasons, hate crimes, people hurting other with words sigh on and on and on

    Dependancy

To what level does your dependency indicate your action to be false or contridicting??

Lets understand the meaning of dependency

When 2 people leading saperate lives saperate function and are moving forward since when being does the word being dependent apply when casual task, favour thing to and responsibilities are resiprocated. Some people are just too blind to see when they judge you from the back. Sorry if it stings you deserve this.

To be independently and yet work hand in hand dun mean dependent. What a pity to the language

Definitions of dependency on the Web:

  • dependence: lack of independence or self-sufficiency

Bob Dylan - Knockin On Heaven's Door

Time for a song... to sing the negativeness away

Mama, take this badge off of me
    I can't use it anymore.
It's gettin' dark, too dark for me to see
I feel like I'm knockin' on heaven's door.

Knock, knock, knockin' on heaven's door
Knock, knock, knockin' on heaven's door
Knock, knock, knockin' on heaven's door
Knock, knock, knockin' on heaven's door

Mama, put my guns in the ground
    I can't shoot them anymore.
That long black cloud is comin' down
I feel like I'm knockin' on heaven's door.

Knock, knock, knockin' on heaven's door
Knock, knock, knockin' on heaven's door
Knock, knock, knockin' on heaven's door
Knock, knock, knockin' on heaven's door

This is my favorite Bob original, it's a very simple song, but there's just something about it that made me fall in love with it. There are many variations of the second verse, and i think version with The Grateful Dead is one of the best.

The dylan version of this song was about the death of a soldier, and i assume gnr interpreted it as such when they decided to cover. Still, the gnr version seems to also convey a sense of evaluating your life and wondering if you've really living it the way you want to. It a song you can sing any which way and still give out a damm good impact.

An Interesting read on the web

Are you too nice? How can anyone be "too nice"? Isn’t being "nice" a good quality to have in a relationship?

Yes, it’s true that people will value niceness in others, but if your way of being nice is to suppress your own needs constantly, you are being too nice for your own good. If you always put the needs of others first, and your own needs last, if you don’t speak out when your own needs are ignored, then you are being too nice for your own good.

When you express your niceness as a sign of genuine respect, kindness and interest in another person, it is a wonderful quality to have. When the "niceness" is a by-product of low self-esteem, passivity, or desperate loneliness, it can be a liability, and can make other people feel uneasy, guilty, or even attract the sort of people who are willing to exploit you.

    - Oh boy!! Got a few around me

How long do we pay the price?

Or how long people think we need to pay the price (read it with a pinch of salt)

Today someone asked me in Kuantan how long should one pay the price for mistakes committed. A very interesting predicament when one is caught between a rock and a hard place (damm where the drink when I need one lol Day 32)

In life you have the justice system which in recent time seem to be dishing various kinds of punishment for the same crime. Aint justice supposed to be blind.

Close to home, on the level of relationships, there is never justice in the punishment served for the crimes committed. No justice from the point of view of the receiver, the giver and especially the idiots who think its their god given right to say and expect you to accept their saying.

Not that you shouldn't have since you doubt the price would be any higher than what you've been paying for that one mistake long ago.

Forgetting a person's mistake, or error, or indiscretion, does not mean that should they continue to do the same thing, we will allow them to get away with the next one and the next. It does mean we will not continue to berate them for something that has been done and is in the past.

We can choose selective forgetting, keeping the information we've learned as a reference so that we will not be blindsided in the future.

I been going thru a lot in recent time and my blog will reflect. There is a lot I do not add in my blog because it does not have to be there. Those which I add are without fear or favour. I have found in recent time people who interact with me personally and at the same time read my blog seem to be more interested in analysing me, or drawing a conclusion. From words used and pics used it became the gospel truth. This resulted in me trying to justify myself.

I have always advocated my self as a dun-fuck-with-me person but ironically as I type this Jen sends me an sms "U know, we are both idiots who choose to wallow"

I laughed and replied "True" I also added "we are idiots who choose to swallow at the shit thrown at us"

How true? No a day goes by where friends, family people who instigate, who question, who do not appreciate you, who keep reminding you of your so called actions/past mistakes" Trust me I got my constant reminder

Give me the strength to continue to pay for my mistakes and give them the strength that I have moved on and want a better life. Give me the strength to stand and face them and give them the strength to let bygones by bygones

People want to move on at their own pace and their own choice at their own plan they do not need a reminder how they needed to live their lives, not a reminder on the way they conduct themselves in the past(therefore logically it be the same now), not a reminder that despite legacy being around thing have changed as we daily do not need to be reminded/reflected on it.

Not to be reminded that I know my responsibility, my conviction, my sacrifices what the heck the very reason I am here was because I choose to sacrifice for the greater good. You dont see me taking a front page ad. Fuck it was not even my fucking mistake and they call me in human

Some have moved on and move forward, some want to but why are there some keep reminded them of their past.

Give me the strength to stop paying the price.

    Strength

i do not know my strength
nor see myself as other people do
i can not be all things
to others or please all for
    the sake of keeping peace

    death will come swiftly
when everyone wants a piece of me
    and there is not enough
    of me to go around
    my strength slowly depletes

i turn a deaf ear to the men
whose own ears ignored my pleas
    forgiving them a given
    though forgetting so difficult
i release those that built this prison

i have never known my strength
    to endure the unspeakable
    giving life my all to
those who would just as soon
see me fall from lack of breath

    Faith Elizabeth Brigham

It would be nice to be appreciated... sometimes we give so much but receive so little in return. Definitely a 10/10 - Vadai

We are so accustomed to disguise ourselves to others that in the end we become disguised to ourselves.

Are You Paying The Price Of Discipline Or Regret? - Tim Connor

In life, we either pay the price of discipline or the price of regret. We pay these prices in all areas of life: our careers, relationships, health, spiritual development, and financial affairs. It is unfortunate that many of people, yours truly included, often fail to comprehend this simple law of life and its consequences. Life's laws are just that - they do not care whether you agree with them or like them - they just are. They are totally insensitive to your whining or your hoping

Let me explain. The laws that apply to all of life’s issues such as discipline, commitment, patience, integrity, practice, self-control and focus. These laws either help us live with freedom, peace and harmony, or heartache, failure, regrets and misfortune as we move along the path of life. Much of the latter could be avoided (not all of it) if we would only understand, accept and integrate this simple truth into our lives.

The price of discipline are those daily doses of exercise, self-reliance, self-discipline and moderation in our life affairs, our eating habits, our relationship strategies such as open and honest communication, and managing our resources wisely.

The lack of these daily little disciplines accumulate day by day and year by year until each of us inherits the long-term consequences of these small yet recurring mis-deeds.

I have had many personal experiences where the daily lack of discipline one day came back and haunted me. I am discovering through these learning experiences that no one is immune to this law. Arrogance, ignorance or a combination of both are no excuse, and life really doesn’t give a twit if you claim any of the three as your master. Sooner or later we pay one way or another. Discipline weighs ounces, while regrets weigh tons.

The pain of discipline is nothing compared to the sting of regret.
