Fine Cusine

Fine dining is not simply about superb cuisine; it’s about having an encounter with something much more sublime than dinner. Gourmet restaurants are culinary sanctuaries that mingle the genius, expertise and vision of the chef and restauranteur with elegance, mood, and celebration. In the same way that good food is paired with good wine, I was lucky enough to be offered the chance to partake in some fine dining courtesy of Bisik (alone of course) when there free food who need the company lol (not projecting myself at the but take a look at the mouth watering dishes.

Not to eat like a glutton but to enjoy the meal.. and in the end a nice glass of .....

Wet Birthday

Wow what a weekend and how many times I have said that.... the element of unpredictability always surfaces.... and this time was no different.... it was David (the fishy guy) Birthday and he treated us to dinner...

Friday..... My shoulder was acting up and jen's notion that is was the urat was pin point and began to address it medically... it was David birthday and he had invited us for dinner....the downpour did not help... TD picked up us and we jumped on to the NKVE... the river had burst its dam and flooded near bukit jelutong interchange.....this was crazy... TD was confident we could get thru..... and we almost did..... dang the B*$$%^Y Camry decided to stop in the tail end and created a backlog of 4 cars with out car being second......

It died there demmm.... tossed my shoes off and dry clothes to the back seat and jumped out of the car and started pushing the damm Camry out of the way.... then it was TD's car and the Satria... of course not the car engine is wet....water gone into the exhaust...so we were stuck...thinking and devising way how to restart back the car...having a Waja auto is certainly not a big help.... we kicked the engine a few times then paused to reflect...i chatted up a conversation with a taxi guy and he finally nailed it the prob to the fact the air filter could have got flooded ...yank out the air filter and wallah engine roaring.....

The dinner that was actually schedules for 9pm was finally starting at 10.30 as the other groups also got delayed due to the traffic congestion, we reached there....David and his partner already there within a space of 15 minutes the whole party of 10 was ready to sit down and chow down...birthday boy started us off with wine before the prawns, fish and all the other stufff were loaded on to the table seeing how delicately TD was trying to crack a crab open...as for me I was in heaven....foood and glorious food.... use mah own gigi to bite in lol the night fellowship was lovely...and left the place by midnight...wanting the fellowship to last longer the just dinner....

we rendezvous at Sunway...the whole 6 of us...initially to play pool..but the waiting list was too damm long...we all crash apl place...wonderful view from the 15th...by about 2.30 TD and ah moi left.....i hanged back wiht David and Apl and Vs and chill the night away....

Bout 6am after heartily laughing and cracking jokes it was time ot go home and get some sleep...David was kind enough to drop me off at home....

Cought up on my sleep after a lovely hot shower....

religion is it real

Read it with an open mind and comment constructively

A gorgeous fren felllow blogger of mine picked up an interesting comment quite soemtime back...(she no longer blogs) touching on religion, not by comparison, not by discrimination but the questions one ask themselves. With the advent of the internet, cable tv, progress in science the strengthening of religion, its roots, its teaching are being tested by human nature itself.

Day by day we are bombarded by the main stream media wiht events taking place in our backyard, and aournd the world, from henious crimes to tragic stories...soon those question will be raised with more awareness since the movie "Da Vince Code" will be coming out in the summer...I am reading the book now...

Why did religion exist? or rather how? All someone has to do is look where people are most religious. In poor, stressed or uneducated societies religion is usually very popular. In nations religion become far less practised and popular as the become developed and the people become better educated in formal unbias school systems. In becoming educated about such fundamental points and topics people who where once ignorant of the way things work now are better able to grasp the world around them. (ie, world being round, dinosaur bones being real, lightning just electricity - not gods wrath or vadai's wrath wakakakka)

The idea of sky fairies (angels) and demons and the entire world being created in 6 days becomes less and less plausible when proven mathematical models, observation and experimentation can be done. They know and can observe that the universe is about 14 billion years old and expanding. Evolution is not a theory, it is proven experimented fact. Carbon dating of organic materials reveals living humans, plants and animals tens of thousands of years old. These are just a brief list of items that we now know and understand because we have the science, technology and education to study them. Seen, touched and tasted concept.

Religions that our ancestors came up with where the only means they had to explain the world around them. Truth or not, they did the job until new discoveries started to conflict with the religions deepest explanations. We discoverd that the earth is round not flat. Magellen was imprisoned for saying it was round. Galilleo was also reprimanded by the church for his telescope. The cardinals refused to look through it into the nights sky in the same manner that most religious followers refuse to look at any scientific data regarding evolution, big-bang/inflation of the universe and now (possibly most importantly) super-string theory.

Day after day we get disillusion as more and more scientific evidence surfaced and religion just pushes them away without addressing them. This creates a disillusion society parting right in the middleIts true we don't know exactly what gravity is, or things like the uncertainty principle of particles. But we know much more thanks to science about the truth of our universe than any religion can even come close to. Religion and the idea of a 'god' begins to diminish as we begin to understand more. Morality, respect and acts of kindness to fellow humans and creatures also has little to do with religion, and more so to do with a functioning and developed sense of community. A community of human beings, not sheep. So why believe in a god just 'because everyone else is'? Group/mob mentality.

We have real answers to the world around us thanks to science (ones to real questions, not to philosophical ones that aren't meant to be), and the answers that we don't have just haven't been found yet. To believe in a god that created everything is to bury your head in the sand, undermine intellectual progress and relinquish all ideas of self responsibility. Its easier and more comforting to many, but so is believing in Santa Claus. Hehehe Think, learn about what we DO know through science, then (and only then) decide if you think its bunk; and that an invisible man in the sky sounds much more reasonable and plausible given what you know.

It would seem that in spite of our technological advances we have not yet grown out of the need to believe in God.

Song that makes you smile

Have you at the best of time and at the worst of time find a song to lift you... that could reach in you and lift you up... here are some that on a cold night could warm me more then anyone could

whats ur song

Artist : Man Bai
Song : Kau Ilhamku
Beribu bintang di langit kini menghilang Meraba aku dalam kelam
Rambulan mengambang kini makin suram Pudar ilhamku tanpa arah
Sedetik wajahmu muncul dalam diam
Ada kerdipan ada sinar
Itukah bintang ataupun rambulan Terima kasih ku ucapkan

CHORUS :
Izinkan ku mencuri bayangan wajahmu Izinkan ku mencuri khayalan denganmu
Maafkanlah ohhh....
Andai lagu ini mengganggu ruangan hidupmu
Kau senyumlah ohhh... Sekadar memori kita di arena ini
Kau ilham ku ....

Artist : Innuendo (remind me of a fren who passed on from singapore)
Song : Belaian Jiwa
Seindah Tiada lagi kau ku ingatkan Sayang kau hilang
Menanti Biar sampai akhir hayat
Ku di dunia ini

(Chorus)
Kau tahu betapaKu sayang padamu
Hanya bidadari sebagai ganti
Hanya takdir Menentukan ia
Ohh Belaian jiwa

Ohh angin Sampaikan lagu ku padanya
Yang sedih pilu Terimalah
Lagu ku jadi teman Hidupmu untuk selamanya

Artist: Zainal Abidin Lyrics
Song: Hijau

Bumi yang tiada rimba Seumpama hamba
Dia dicemar manusia Yang jahil ketawa

Bumi yang tiada udara Bagai tiada nyawa
Pasti hilang suatu hari Tanpa disedari
Bumi tanpa lautan Akan kehausan
Pasti lambat laun hilang Duniaku yang malang

Dewasa ini kita saling merayakan
Kejayaan yang akhirnya membinasakan
Apalah gunanya kematangan fikiran
Bila di jiwa kita masih lagi muda Dan mentah
Ku lihat hijau

Bumiku yang kian pudar Siapa yang melihat
Di kala kita tersedar
Mungkinkah terle Korupsi, opresi, obsesi diri
Polusi, depressi, di bumi, kini

Oh..anok-anok tokleh meghaso mandi laok
Besaing, maing ghama-ghama
Ale lo ni tuo umurnyo bejuto Kito usoho
Jauhke dari malapetako Ozon lo ni koho nipih nak nak aghi
Keno make asak Hok biso wei,
pasa maknusio Seghemo bendo-bendo di dunio
Tokleh tehe Sapa bilo-bilo

Artist: Zainal Abidin Lyrics (MY FAV)
Song: Ikhlas Tapi Jauh

Bila bila kiranya diriku perlu, Hari yang murung,
Terdengar nada yang riang ria, Sekali suara meyakinkan jiwa
Kaku langkah mengaguminya, Kaku menerimanya

Selagi bahuku, Memikul bebannya,
Selagi hayatku, Merasa siksamu,
Selama senyuman, Menjadi senyumku,
Ku bawa wajahmu, Walau diriku jauh ..Jauh ..

Bila bila kiranya diriku perlu, Hari yang murung,
Terdengar nada yang riang

We are so young and free, Full of desire,
flying higher and higher, Oooh .. feel so strong ..

Selagi bahuku, Memikul bebannya,
Selagi hayatku, Merasa siksamu,
Selama senyuman, Menjadi senyumku,
Ku bawa wajahmu, Walau diriku jauh ..Jauh ..

MY MEW YEAR - PART 1

Well nothing so great about it, there not like a chapter devoted to reflection or resolution…I think I have grown past that age or phase. Dun get me wrong, for me I view it as a phase

Friday
Well back to PK Friday night…jnr was there to received me we chatted a bit and he spilling over this joy that his chewing gum collection is increasing. He is cunning and calculative…..for instance if you say chewing-gum is bad for him and he can only eat when he is older…he play you and say ok you buy now I save it for when I am older lol thus that’s how his collection grew.

Ahmoi and Dory Xmas presents were opened hmmm I think ripped is a better word…. He loved it and he called them up to wish them and thank them then gleefully paraded his presents to the ppl in the house. I tucked him to sleep and lay beside him that night

Saturday
Sent my sis to KTM the the usually morning bfast with my hoki kaki an event that I regularly do when I get back…its always bfast…this time we tried the nasi lemak near the train station. Hehehe

Jnr Love ‘Nasi Ayam’ so off we went for chicken rice in Klang Jaya, he want to eat by him self and set the location of the soup...well dtas kids..let him hvae fun while enjoying his food la....I tried the kueh teow goreng it was yummy

Then it back to the house for some well needed rest…coz that evening it’s the customary New Year gathering of not only the family but the cousins as well…where cousins are uncles sure there one and uncle there aunty also there….its like a ground rule that such dinner is till about 10pm then the rest can go and do what they want…coz not all may want to sit with family and celebrate the new year…

The function was nice but ran short of food…..it nice to see family and interact with them…nice not lovely lol…as usually there are cliques and conversation that at time escalate out of control… some worth discussion on the current events like Moorthy case and Big foot and the New Islamic laws,…….well that family. Jnr had the best time of all playing with kids his age and drinking the Blue Sparkling Juice

We adjourned the function as I had promised Jnr Vadai to take him to fireworks …Minnal FM (aka Radio 6) a government station co-incidentally had a new year count down at the “Chetty Padang” so a huge crowd was there….Jnr being Jnr was too short to see so I carried him on my shoulder through the whole time and click away on my camera…the when the New Year Rang in he was on my shoulder…

For me the New Year aint no biggie but for him it was the crowd and the noise and songs that get him excited….inside I felt happi for him…Since it was a live broadcast the news came 1st before the fireworks display. It was short but kira ok la..went back home with him and tucked him in…
