BASES - Dating

As we hung out with Makcik last night over Mamak with the gang the conversation shifted to how perverted we are or how naive other people are. From making babies to a Dear Thelma story where a writer asks how to have intercourse after dating with the same person over a year. So we asked around the table is they knew what 1st base, 2nd base meant and the result was some what shocking, so at Jen prodding insistence here is a repeat


Though the "bases" terminology is a more US based generic term it is used all over the world. There is no “official” definition of what the bases represent. However, the following is a general guide to what they mean:

* First base = kissing, including open-mouth (French) kissing
* Second base = petting above the waist, including touching, feeling, and fondling the chest, breasts, and nipples
* Third base = petting and/or orally stimulating below the waist, including touching, feeling, and fondling the vagina, clitoris, penis, and testicles
* Home run = full sexual intercourse

These definitions are subject to change and can vary among different people, so don’t be embarrassed to ask your friends exactly what they mean (and you probably aren’t the only one who needs clarification). It’s great that you want to be informed – asking is the best way to find out.
