‘Our sons died in m-cycle crash because cop chased them’
NIBONG TEBAL: The grieving families of two Form Three students who died in a road accident here are blaming the police for their sons’ death. They claimed that the 16-year-olds would be alive if a uniformed policeman had not pursued them in a high-speed motorcycle chase. Chow Wei Jian and Hua Weng Kang were killed when their motorcycle collided with a Proton Waja about 8.30am on Friday in Simpang Ampat.
Chin Hock said the policeman’s action had probably caused the boys to panic, resulting in them speeding off. Wei Jian and Weng Kang died on arrival at the Sungai Bakap Hospital. Police had said that the boys were not wearing crash helmets and as a result, suffered severe head injuries which led to their death.
This tragic, I truly feel sorry for the loss of these 2 guys. But anger aside whose fault is it actually. Its easy to shift the blame but what were the fundamentals, 2 kids without license, without helmet ran away from Cops, there were pursued.
Are we implying if they are kids with no helmet let them run away so they wont die? The police should not pursue people who broke the law incase anythign tragic happen to them. Maybe coz these kids were not mat rempits so they should be treated kindly.
It sucks but the kids were wrong and sadly they paid with their lives. I wonder if their parent knew they rode biked often.

Wah...
Ini macam pun boleh ka?
Tak betul nih...
This IS RIDICULOUS.
THIS IS reverse blame and not being responsible for one's own actions.
Being 16 yr olds, they should be smart enough to stop and let the police do what they want to do.
Like as not, it was probably due to some small thing as running a red light, not wearing helmet (I think that was probably the main reason).
STUPID.
Parents blaming the POLICE?
This is actually one of the few times that I support the Police in their actions, and those kids were too dumb, or too smart.
Tak pass.
As a chinese I am right now FUCKING embarassed to be a Chinese.
does not matter what race but it tragic when it comes to shifting blame
