5years old and growing

April 7th started as any morning would but this was special for Jnr Vadai, he turn 5 today, I was back there to celebrate with him and this pictorial kind of defined his day.

Prelude
Thur night packing sweet and chocolotes for all the kids at the kindergarden, Jnr Vadai insisted on the kinds of sweet and chocolates thta must be in (there goes my budget)

7.45am up and ready to go, rushing me to get ready, getting the car ready loading the thing into the car, damm 3 bags full for 50 students.

In the kindergarden, the minute he walked in with the sweets, kinds were already wishing him, left the sweets with the teacher and a couple of snap shots of him with his frens. His gfren (sports day) was there too.Way to go Jnr Vadai

Went to the clinic to take medication for my throath, got a heavy dose.

Picked him up after kindergarden, he was on cloud nine beaming ear to ear enjoy his birthday with his frens. Offer to belanja him anything he want for lunch. Jnr Vadai want chicken rice fomr Goodwood, tapau for him, and had lunch with him at home.

My throath was acting up and took a nap wiht Jnr Vadai, by evening he was up and ready for dinner, as usual dress him up, he got his 'tigger' shades and as usual started giving funny poses when the hp camera turns to him

Collected his cake, he wanted a motorcycle cake and he got one

Went to a restaurant for dinner with the family (the usualy politics was there damm frutrating), my focus is still Jnr Vadai and we have fun.

Like I said as soon as the camera turn to him, the posing started and I love the kiddo and enjoy his pics. We love fish and crab and seafood and we cut the cake there.

After Dinner

We got back home and it was time for his present, a while back I blogged how we went ot BTS and play on the rides there. He spotted a bike and all the crying and temper throwing and tantrums made a handshake deal to get that bike for his birthday.

Well he got it

Happy Birthday Jnr!!!

Firstly this was a good weekend, a very good weekend and it reinforced all that I fight and stand for, but a blog for that will follow.

Call me a sentimental fool but I am a sucker for a good movie, not just the stars, a good script, amazing camera work, sound then who jigsaw puzzle. Time and time again I continued to be dazzled by its magic. Among such moments was one 13 years ago I stood/sat in awe of the magic of movies.

I don't know why I loved this movie so much. Maybe it was the utter amazement when I first saw the Brachiosaurus eat from a tree. Or maybe it was my adrenaline rushing when two 12 year old were attacked by velociraptors. It might possibly be the chills that went down my spine when the T-Rex first made his terrifying roar. Whatever it was, it made me write this blog as I watched the movie again with jnr vadai over the weekend

What can be said about this movie that hasn't already been said? I know that this has some of the greatest special effects, even today. Also, if there's anything that can match the awesome T-Rex, it's the movie's musical score, I even got the CD of the score, absolutely magical.

Each character stood high in the starts especially Dr. Malcom, the math guy, one comment sticks in my mind when he spoke of the direction of science

Dr. Ian Malcolm: I'll tell you the problem with the scientific power that you're using here: it didn't require any discipline to attain it. You read what others had done and you took the next step. You didn't earn the knowledge for yourselves, so you don't take any responsibility for it. You stood on the shoulders of geniuses to accomplish something as fast as you could and before you even knew what you had you patented it and packaged it and slapped it on a plastic lunchbox, and now you're selling it, you want to sell it!

awesome!!!! and how true!!!

It the end it a movie but a damm good one booya

Pink Triangle

In my younger gun ho days I used to support it directly and indirectly.. I have found so many devoted people working to fight such a hard battle. A while ago someone that I knew... who worked tirelessly had secummbed and passed on...I know this is life this is the way we all live and die.. ....

As I arrived to his home... a fair amount of people sitting out under tents, and near by trees as shadows provided by them.. as I was ushered in circling a simple casket that stood upon two small stools. As I looked down I realized that this was picture that would be forever etched into my mind. A skinny man, with sunken cheeks, and the insence stick smell the numbs ur mind....the ceremonied proceeded as tradition would have it...the men began to cover the casket closed.

There was a ladies that bitch of his passing caused by ‘the virus.... burned me within... I approached them lashed my tongue out at them for their gossiping. Embarassed the slipped out of the house... I was boiling...

There was a feeling of sadness and despair that swept over us. This man was one of many that was neglected by family and friends because of his ‘class’, When he had money all these so called relatives, so called blooded falimies we all around gim and now he was gone and there was only one woman who wailed. She threw herself on the grave and wept and wept. My heart ached for this woman who had lost a friend.

The point of this story is not that this man had no friends, or that AIDS had taken his life. The point is tell you that this day I was sad. I shed a tear. He dies lonely no family, only frens,

We all talk the talk but we dun walk the walk

The Jnr Devil

Esok the Jnr Vadai turns 5

Wow 5 years, lots of time and good and bad memories has passed, he kind of all I got to work for and provide for in the over all scheme of thing, his mischief and pranks and the sly grin makes my day. Again I go back to the place I left probably only because of him. I would do that again and again coz right now he is my no 1 and my top priority.

Slowly I am exposing him to my life and my friends, when I took him to Rudi's office shirtign was in a small manner to show him my world which he will start to see a lot of.

So many would say in so many ways how my situation could be better, dont, let it be, As they say in business, its a win-win situation for the moment

Happy Birthday Jnr!!!!!

Since everyone is in a Song mode - Sting

Everyday we hear songs... new songs, old songs... we love some, we hate some... and from those we love we don't want to miss a single word... but understanding song lyrics is not always easy.

I don't always hear lyrics when I listen to a song for the first time. It takes some time for lyrics to sink in. I'll hear bits and pieces clearly--a few lines that stick out. But rarely hear the whole song. Sometimes, when I finally do, sometimes it makes me cry. This is one of those songs. It's a song I'll listen to over and over.

Name at Birth: Gordon Matthew Sumner aka STING

Sting - Fields of Gold

You'll remember me when the west wind moves
Upon the fields of barley
You'll forget the sun in his jealous sky, As we walk in fields of gold

So she took her love, For to gaze awhile
Upon the fields of barley, In his arms she fell as her hair came down
Among the fields of gold

Will you stay with me, will you be my love, Among the fields of barley
We'll forget the sun in his jealous sky, As we lie in fields of gold

See the west wind move like a lover so, Upon the fields of barley
Feel her body rise when you kiss her mouth, Among the fields of gold

I never made promises lightly, And there have been some that I've broken
But I swear in the days still left
We'll walk in fields of gold, We'll walk in fields of gold

Many years have passed since those summer days, Among the fields of barley
See the children run as the sun goes down, Among the fields of gold

You'll remember me when the west wind moves, Upon the fields of barley
You can tell the sun in his jealous sky
When we walked in fields of gold, When we walked in fields of gold
When we walked in fields of gold

This is an amazing song, a song you can dance to on your own, dun need anyone for this, a song that can play in your mind, sooth the beast within you.

I love this song. As time passes these common events in our lives, like ordinary Barley, sometimes become the ones we remember and cherish and find strength in. They become Gold- the color of the ripe barley harvest. There was sorrow but the enduring relationship overcame it. Children offer hope. They could be the couples. There was common stuff like betrayal but somehow they endured and time healed. We all move on

A movie I relate this song to is the movie Forrest Gump. How he and Jenny played when they were little outside, trying to figure out who she was and what she wanted to do. And then when Forrest asks her to marry him, and is her using him and then leaving. The Forrest is running and running and thinking about her all the time and Forrest loving her until she dies. Gump goes to visit Jenny and finds out that he is a dad & little Forrest is running around outside just like his dad used to. In the end, Forrest remembering Jenny for the rest of his life and remembering how they played when they were little. This is just what I think, but I guess you can manipulate words anyway you want to get your point across but it would fit lovely into that. But this movie willl stand out for me.

Watch blog on the movie out soon

An Interesting Wednesday

It surely was, after battling MMC on conceptual and detail design, the meeting a lovely darling for lunch, then round 2 with MMC at 2.30pm it was a stressful Wed except for the free lunch.!!!

Someone to talk to

Three billion people on the face of the earth go to bed hungry every night, but four billion people go to bed every night hungry for a simple word of encouragement and recognition.
Cavett Robert

How emotional can one get? Put ur self in the shoes of a small child marooned on an island looking for a parent. Some find and get. Some don't. The ones who find are just so God damn lucky. The ones who don't find make peace with themselves. They learn to survive alone.

We all grow emotional at times, don't we? Lately I have been faced with a lot of issues coming together at the sametime. I has times and moments I have had to step back or step forward and kill a shuttle in frustration. At time cought not being able to talk to someone about it. How nice would it be to pour all your troubles, anxities, fears, problems and worries into the heart of another person? And finding a responding chord? Thats the key

How delighted does one feel to be secured in the knowledge that no matter what the world thinks of you, there is this one person who believes in you and that you can depend upon their judgement, love and loyalty.

After a long time, it seems that lately, I know I have someone to turn on to, when I need to discuss my ideas or express my feelings, besides my blog. I never expected that this person would be the one that I talk to but surprisingly he can listen. He knows where I am coming from and what I have done,

Maybe its the fact we can relate

Bakit ngayon ka lang (Tagalog) Why only now....

Back when I was in the clubbing and pubbing scene, my work used to take me outstation, I got hook on this sentimental Tagalog song, a Filipino song. This song is about a man who was disappointed because he just found the right one for him inspite that he is already tied up to someone else. Raymond (a keyboardist of a band) sang this so well he recorded it for me. I love this song along the same lines I love "Anak"

On Sat it was surprising that the band on stage stated belting out this song and it made me smile. I sang along. I do miss the pairing of Gogs & Rozana, Raymond, Baby Chimpanzee & Baby Gorilla, anyway here is the song and the translation. (Svejjen, its a song worthy of listening to)

Bakit Ngayon Ka Lang (Ogie Alcasid)

(repeat Pre-chorus)
(repeat chorus 2x)

ENGLISH TRANSLATION

Why only now....
Why only is it now that my heart needs?
It now has found out.....

I wish that I'd found out
That you would come into my life
Then I would have waited

Pre-chorus:

You were supposed to have been the one for me to hug
Your hand always for me to hold instead of hers

Chorus:

Why only now....
Is it that you arrive in my life
I'm forcing to open my closed heart
You are the only one for me
Even though I want to forget you
I want to know...why is is now that you arrive in my life

I love this song.

Virginity Part 2 - The saga continues

Since Teddykins say it a hot topic, and I am futher intrigued by the responses to what it mean to lose your virginity? Lets talk a walk... open our minda.

The way we are educated - you are a virgin until you've had sexual intercourse with the member of the opposite sex. In this day and age, same sex also should count, this definition leaves a lot of people out of the loop. While certain government lawmakers are looking to redefine marriage to include same sex partnerships.

I use the work 'I' loosely here coz when I of virgins, I think of "wedding innocents" who define sex as a synonym for gender. The fact is, the standard definition of virginity lets you get away with having a lot of different kinds of sex was still being able to call yourself a virgin.

For theory sake, under the old school definations of virgin, someone who is homosexual can have sex every day and still be a virgin. Someone who has oral sex regularly is also still a virgin. Does that really make sense? Something is out of whack.

How about these as some serious questions (on the net)

Is someone who is raped or molested no longer a virgin?

Is actual intercourse the only act that counts when determining ones virginity?

If you willingly engage in other intimate sexual acts but do not have intercourse, is it fair to still consider yourself a virgin?

How would you define losing your virginity if you were/are homosexual or bisexual?

Is being a virgin based on your feelings, what you do, or is it a combination of both?

Is there an emotional component to losing your virginity, meaning if you have sex but don't feel anything is different about you, does it count?

Is the current definition of virginity, and all the social stigma attached to it, biased toward girls? Is this right?

Does the current definition of virginity exclude homosexuals? Is this right?

Is virginity subjective (based on how the individual views themselves and what they do) or objective (how the situation is viewed by others on the outside)?

Virginity if Overated and its aint worth the wait

I got a fren thats a virgin - hell yeah, keep asking if its worth the wait, here is my 2 cent. Take it with an open mind

Experience = better experience for the person who you'll fall in love with and want to please. It wont be only me but ask anyone on the street. It aint about religion, upbringing, values but in an age where condoms are sold openly ( and it damm certainly aint for married couples)

If you find yourself in a good relationship, there's no reason to forgo sex just because it has to be perfect with the perfect person (generally this is a girls prespective, guy dun care, they dun think) and if it's not perfect, OMG sex will be ruined forever!!!!. The first time probably isn't perfect for anyone, although it certainly could be "wonderful, gentle, and satisfying."

All I would say get it over with, but try and make sure it's with someone one would feel comfortable with and are attracted to. Most first times are awkward, but they're much better if the nerves are calmed a little by it being with someone you know and trust. That way, you won't be as embarassed if things aren't picture perfect, you won't have to worry about any details being leaked, and you will feel more confident about maybe talking about the experience afterwards.

Virginity is probably the very last thing I would recommend to someone who is seeking to find a compatible mate. Within marriage, one essential area of compatibility is sexual compatibility. And I don't see any way for two people to determine if they are sexually compatible unless they have sex, and lots of it. Preferably they will do that before marriage, so they don't end up legally entangled with someone they find they do cannot have good sex with.

All this talk about how ‘cherished’ virginity is in a wife strikes me as sanctimonious booyah.

I would not insist that everyone else should share my views in favor of wild passions, erotic liberation and sexual exploration; if you want have those values then it should be both ways, the guy a virgin too... if there any around!!!
