What is it about Canadian groups and the song they play in a band. It awesome, it rocks and memorable. Here I was packing up some food and heading back to office when an all to familiar song plays. Damm funne and kewl to hear..
It was mmmm mmmm mmmmm damm kewl song by Crash Test Dummies are a Canadian Folk-Rock group, who were popular in the early 1990s. and in 1993 this song came into play...
Crash Test Dummies - Mmm Mmm Mmm Mmm
Once there was this kid who
Got into an accident and couldn't come to school
But when he finally came back
His hair had turned from black into bright white
He said that it was from when
The cars had smashed so hard
Mmm Mmm Mmm Mmm
Mmm Mmm Mmm Mmm
Once there was this girl who
Wouldn't go and change with the girls in the change room
But when they finally made her
They saw birthmarks all over her body
She couldn't quite explain it
They'd always just been there
Mmm Mmm Mmm Mmm
Mmm Mmm Mmm Mmm
But both girl and boy were glad
'Cause one kid had it worse than that
'Cause then there was this boy whose
Parents made him come directly home right after school
And when they went to their church
They shook and lurched all over the church floor
He couldn't quite explain it
They'd always just gone there
Mmm Mmm Mmm Mmm
Mmm Mmm Mmm Mmm
I really dunno exactly what the meaning of this song is...but what i get from it, is that people put more importance in how other people (in particular their parents) make them look than they put importance in how they look themselves...He tells the stories of two young people that are different in some way...one has white hair, the other has birthmarks all over her body...but both of them are glad that their parents aren't weird, like this other kids...
Parenthood 101
Parents today try to make the kids all they want the kids to be instead of giving some slack.
Cut them some slack
