It there was a silver lining, somehtig to save the day then it would have been the unexpected evening. I fren I had not seen almost a year and with much water under the bridge was in town.
In recent times we have both taken different paths and moved on with our lives, in many a sense were close but time, events, actions and space both had scarred and hurt us directly and indirectly. Despite all that happen there was a level a trust that one had for the other and friendship. That was enough.
So with a little food and light drink to help the night along we proceeded to have a conversation that lasted over 3 hours. The space of a year had many question unanswered and the typical Who dun it??? question.
To a certain extend I am gald to have the answers so we can move on, each in their own path and no nightmare to hold anyone back. The questions that need to be asked were asked, the trust still was there. So brutal honesty was good.
We walked away knowing that the other was in a beter position, better place and life does go on. I believe we will still remain frens but as branches on different trees.
