Tun Ghafar Baba, 81, passed away at Gleneagles Intan Medical Centre at 7.34 am today.He was warded since Januay 24 after suffering an asthma attack.He died because of heart, lung and kidney complications.
NST -THE son of an impoverished family, a golf caddy and a ball boy at tennis games, a teacher, a freedom fighter, the country’s longest serving Member of Parliament, a politician who rose to occupy the country’s second highest office.
Tun Abdul Ghafar Baba was all these.
