Merdeka

Greetings from Port Klang….Today is merdeka…..I hung flags in my both houses… did you… I read an interesting article bout our merdeka in today’s The Star paper which actually is true but a fact we choose overlook.
“Sabah leaders want to set the record straight: the National Day that the state and neighboring Sarawak will be celebrating is for 42 years of independence – not 48.
Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Tan Sri Bernard Dompok said that while the states in the peninsular became independent on Aug 31, 1957, the two eastern Malaysian states ceased to be British colonies on Aug 31, 1963. “

WE are Malaysians as such part of Malaysia. Malaya is 48 years old today in independence Malaysia is lesser…we often overlook our brothers and sisters and generalize everything. Merdeka Anniversary. Every year, the nation never miss the event. It is a very important event in the life of a nation. However it means different things to different people. To our elders who fought with tears and blood, it is the most precious gift-to be free from their colonial masters and be able to live as free people of the world!!! On the other hand, it is only a holiday with some festivals to us….

In another analogy…vegetarian eating vegetarian mutton/chicken/fish…if they are really vegetarian how did they ever know what these meat taste like in the 1st place..

LOL again I speak in general …. Not by classifying everyone…the meaning of Merdeka ,at most, is quite blurred or fuzzy to most people who were born after Merdeka. Now, all of us are citizens of the an independent nation. What does it means to you personally?

Another anology…imagine if freedom was water when you don't have it.

To my dear frens

We hold in our hands, the most precious gift of all: Freedom. The freedom to express our art. Our love. The freedom to be who we want to be. We are not going to give that freedom away and no one shall take it from us!

Vadai has landed

What can I say..I finally been sucked in by the darkside..a gorgeous fren of mine said that when I asked for her opinion. more ironic was the nick darthvadai....

Hmmmm I came up with this ID in a spur of the moment thingy...(the brains finally worked)...the movie Star Wars was premiering and I thought what the heck...use the nick darth add a vadai to represent me roots (shades of Roots) and viola "darthvadai born"

I have often been intrigued by blogging looking at a few blogs I frequently visit I noticed a vast variance in what is actually blogged.

Blog..apa tu?? A publication of personal thoughts to a web site in reverse chronological order; the content and quality varies greatly depending on the purpose of the author. A frequent, chronological publication of personal thoughts and Web links. an online diary or journal, typically documenting the day-to-day life of an individual. Derived from "weblog".

So many variations and definition and as I read the blogs which ranges from one end of the spectrum to another I have come to realize that blogs are cool. So long as u respect the blogger, comment constructively its all fine because in the end it is the blogger’s 2 cents bring projected there and its their right to project such thoughts.

A wise man once said “Anything that gives people a voice benefits society and makes us all better and smarter”
