The Special one got specially sent off

Kind of feel sorry for the prick, he got canned and thats about it.

"The end came suddenly but it came in a fashion that was typical of the man. Dramatically, spectacularly, controversially."

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has sensationally left Stamford Bridge by mutual consent, the club has confirmed.

However, the rumours of his departure began earlier in the day and claimed that billionaire owner Roman Abramovich called crisis talks following Tuesday night's disappointing 1-1 draw with Norwegian minnows Rosenborg in the Champions League, at which the fractious duo had a furious falling out. Mourinho is believed to have informed senior players of his departure following training on Wednesday and one of those players insists that the manager has not resigned but has been sacked by the Blues. Mourinho's rocky relationship with Abramovich was public knowledge and despite an apparent thaw in relations last season the duo were again at odds over the role of £30million striker Andrei Shevchenko and the Blues' dour style of football even before Tuesday's result brought events to a head.

:)

Emoticons or smileys explained

An Emoticon (or Smiley) is a sequence of ordinary characters you can find on your computer keyboard. Emoticons are used in e-mail, chat, SMS and other forms of communication using computers. The most popular emoticons are the smiling faces (smileys or smilies) that people use to say "don't take what I just wrote too seriously". If you don't see that it represents a smiling face, tip your head to the left and look at it again. The colon represents the eyes, the dash represents the nose, and the right parenthesis represent the mouth.

The creator of the original ASCII emoticons :-) and :-(, with a specific suggestion that they be used to express emotion, was Scott Fahlman; the text of his original proposal, posted to the Carnegie Mellon University computer science general board on 19 September 1982 (11:44), was considered lost for a long time. It was however recovered twenty years later by Jeff Baird, from old backup tapes

An eye for an eye - child raped murdered

NST -PETALING JAYA: The only thing police have on her is her picture in death. And while the authorities are trying to discover her identity, public outrage is growing at the sadistic killing of this child.
Even the police are appalled at the circumstances leading to her death and have more questions than answers.

- Where are her parents?
- Why was the child separated from her parents?
- Why hasn't anyone come forward to claim her body?
- Was she homeless?
- Was her disappearance ever reported?
--------------------------------------

That was the front page of NST. Only when somethings tragic happen then the alarms go off, children have gone missing then we turn around and say oh this and that. Reflectively in page 6 of the same daily, a little girl is still missing and a sub-report wrote about how 3 girls aged 12-16 left Bukit Beruntong to Pantai Dalam brought fears of being abducted but in reality they had ran away and stayed in a cyber cafe for 3 days!!! Their story, their 2 male companions took away that phones

Bollocks

A am strong advocate of rape and chile abuse where I profess the punishment should be vicious and long lasting... sorry I have enough rage against people who take away such an innocence "An eye for an eye and the whole world is blind" -- Gandhi

It if mean the whole world goes blind to stop such acts, call me an idiot but I am asll for it.

Not long ago a kid went missing in Sogo, a couple found them and returned them after a few days, man oh man the kind of rumors, stories perpetrated by the public, neighbors makes you wanna think twice from approaching lost kids.

Back to this headline, I have rage for the culprit(s) further fueled by the traces of things found in her. Just sad. One of the few cases that has come to surface, there it no punishment that can pay the price for this, maybe we should start torturing them, maybe stone them to death.

The fear of committing the crime if not for the sake or morality then it should be for the fear of the punishment.

Friday Night Lights

I love scriptwriters, so powerful so invigorating

...give all of us gathered here to night the strength to remember that life is so very fragile, we are all vulnerable, and will all at some point in our lives fall... we will all fall....

we must carry this in our hearts that what we have is special... that it can be take
n from us and and when it is taken from us, we will be tested, we will be tested to our very souls...

we will now all be tested..
it is these times, it is this pains, that allows us to look inside ourselves..... (boooya)

Friday Night Lights is an award winning
American television serial drama adapted by Peter Berg, Brian Grazer and David Nevins from a book of the same name. The series details events surrounding the Dillon Panthers, a high school football team based in fictional Dillon, Texas. The show uses a small-town backdrop to address many issues facing contemporary Middle America.

The show puts special emphasis on dealing with social issues facing the various team members and their families. Episodes ha
ve addressed pertinent social issues such as infidelity, drug use, mental illness, racism, alcoholism and parental abandonment.

I just downloaded the season1 yippie!!!!!

Not to be dranked with coco-cola

The Johnnie Walker Green Label Scotch is a "Vatted Malt" Whisky. This means that it is a blend of single malts produced at different distilleries. In the case of Green label, these single malts are all aged a minimum of 15 years. Green label showcases nice flavors of fresh cut grass, wood smoke, pepper, vanilla, fruit, and sandalwood. This is a very fine Scotch for a fraction of the price of the famed Johnnie Walker Blue Label.

Pros
Delicious, fairly complex, capturing the best of both worlds - single malt and blend

Cons
Minor quibbles: price, arguably less than the sum of its parts.

The Bottom Line
The fine line between a great Scotch and a masterful Scotch is so thin that I can't see it.

Now can I afford it??,,,, hmmmmmm

Mind is working over time... not good

Paranoia is a disturbed thought process characterized by excessive anxiety or fear, often to a point.... well lets not go there..... from watchig a movie to a tragic event happening in our lives from time to tiem we are bound to go thru it

Chemistry?

7 quirky facts about chemistry - Prav its up

By Laura Schaefer If you think clicking with another person is all about fate, destiny or a fairy godmother, think again! There’s actually some (very) weird science at work... and here’s proof:

1. Like go-get-’em types? Look for a long fourth finger. Here’s why: If your date’s ring finger is longer than his or her index finger, it’s an indication that he or she was exposed to higher than average amounts of testosterone in the womb, says Dr. John T. Manning of Rutgers University in his book Digit Ratio. This correlates to a personality which tends to be logical, decisive, and ambitious. If these traits tickle your fancy, stick around.

2. Adrenaline is the new oyster. Skip the shellfish, and do something daring to bond with a new honey. Research by Arthur Aron and Donald Dutton shows that adrenaline ups our interest in a potential mate. Male subjects in the study were asked to cross two kinds of bridges (one shaky, one sturdy) to talk to an attractive female “researcher” giving a questionnaire. Upon completing the task, the woman gave each subject her phone number. Those subjects who met the woman on the shaky bridge were more likely to call and more likely to ask her on a date. The reason? The exhilaration of being in a risky situation rubs off on the person you’re with, so if you’re looking for some instant sparks on a date, try something a little scary (roller coasters, scary movie, or white-water rafting, anyone?).

3. Women do want to date their fathers. Or, at least, date someone who smells like him. In one study by geneticist Carole Ober, female subjects were asked to sniff t-shirts of various scents and then state their preferences. Over and over again, subjects chose the odors that closely matched those of their dads. So, guys, if you make it to a “meet the parents” moment, take a peek in their medicine cabinet, and splash on some of Dad’s aftershave to seal the deal.

4. Don’t let your married friends weigh in on your love life. Think your hitched pals can help you detect good chemistry with a date? Um, no… Science has revealed that your married friends are clueless when they try to give you dating advice. In one study, psychologist Frank Bernieri asked 168 subjects to watch video clips of couples and rate how in love they were. Subjects who were in relationships guessed wrong again and again compared to their single peers. So the next time your friend with the rock on her finger waxes poetic on the intricacies of your love life, smile serenely and then get a second opinion.

5. There’s such a thing as “Pill goggles.” Consider these the first cousin to beer goggles—if you’re taking the birth-control pill, ladies, your taste in men may take a turn. That’s because birth control pills affect women’s hormone levels and to whom they are attracted. In one study, researcher Tony Little showed women different images of men and asked them to make their picks. Results show that women on birth control pills tended to choose men with more pronounced masculine features than those who weren’t on the Pill. The downside here? These manly traits are linked to high testosterone levels, aggressive behavior, and even higher divorce rates. So if you’re on the Pill, don’t turn a blind eye to those red flags… your contraception could cloud your judgment and lead you to fall for a less-than-wonderful guy.

6. The longer you’re together, the more simpatico you’ll become. Do you feel the chemistry getting stronger and stronger every day? Are you finishing one another’s sentences? Feeling as if you share one personality? You two may really be merging, says researcher Cameron Anderson, who interviewed 60 couples and roommates. By gauging his subjects’ reactions to a film after they had lived together one year, Anderson found that their personalities tend to converge over time, though the dominant partner changes his or her personality less.

7. Goose those chemicals to keep passion cooking. Those heady feelings of new love do fade over time, but there is an easy way couples in a rut can get ’em back: by trying novel things together, whether that’s traveling to foreign lands or even just breaking out the Zagat guide to try a totally new restaurant rather than your old stand-by. That’s because new experiences trigger the same chemical reaction in the body as love, says researcher Helen Fisher, author of Why We Love. So get out there and have an adventure, lovebirds, to keep boredom at bay.

Family business

I aint gonna get brownie points for this.

As of late I come across 3 business models which run on the family concept. Family it self is an enigma of both good and bad, having a family run business is never an easy task from the onset. It take separation of home and business and personal issues. Heck countless of tamil movies have run on this theme

Having said that, there are great number of dynamic, successful family businesses that have turned out to be great corporations. The question that need to be asked how strong does a family need to be, how relenting should an individual be, or low should someone bend, many questions but no perfect answer. Never will be.

Why?

When you work in a non family business, you understanding of the employee is at office level not till home, the face that you see is the face at work, but doing business with people you grow up with is a delicate thing it chemistry. You can never treat them the same way, then again why should it stop you treating them the same way like any other staff? Coz fortunately or unfortunately you know them better.

Quote
"There are some cons too. Families aren’t the best at communication. Spending 40 to 50 hours a week with your father isn’t exactly conducive to the kind of communication most people are used to at work. When it’s family, you either end up saying how you feel and hurt someone’s feelings or you bottle it up and hurt yourself. This is the 3rd generation of his family business, and I often wonder how many more there will be.

While, I often complain about the politics involved in working in a corporate setting, I couldn’t imagine trying to approach my dad with some criticisms on how he’s running the family business. Imagine trying to talk to someone who constantly brings up your mistakes from when you were 12 -- that’s just not fun."

Any business family or not, is a result of your creative energies, visions, dedication and efforts that you put in, not the problems you add to it. In business when working with family it is important that roles, job descriptions and authorities are clearly defined; each members may do a little bit of everything but clarity of objectives is vital and there must be a sound understanding of who is responsible for what and who makes final decisions. Here is where personal sentiments, history, backbiting, bitching, foul play is left at the door, Do the job you are supposed to do and get on with it.

The simplest rule is to keep family-related issues outside of the workplace, keep business-related issues outside of the home.
Enjoy

Tragic but whose fault?

‘Our sons died in m-cycle crash because cop chased them’

NIBONG TEBAL: The grieving families of two Form Three students who died in a road accident here are blaming the police for their sons’ death. They claimed that the 16-year-olds would be alive if a uniformed policeman had not pursued them in a high-speed motorcycle chase. Chow Wei Jian and Hua Weng Kang were killed when their motorcycle collided with a Proton Waja about 8.30am on Friday in Simpang Ampat.

Chin Hock said the policeman’s action had probably caused the boys to panic, resulting in them speeding off. Wei Jian and Weng Kang died on arrival at the Sungai Bakap Hospital. Police had said that the boys were not wearing crash helmets and as a result, suffered severe head injuries which led to their death.

This tragic, I truly feel sorry for the loss of these 2 guys. But anger aside whose fault is it actually. Its easy to shift the blame but what were the fundamentals, 2 kids without license, without helmet ran away from Cops, there were pursued.

Are we implying if they are kids with no helmet let them run away so they wont die? The police should not pursue people who broke the law incase anythign tragic happen to them. Maybe coz these kids were not mat rempits so they should be treated kindly.

It sucks but the kids were wrong and sadly they paid with their lives. I wonder if their parent knew they rode biked often.

Something people should try to understand

As we were growing up my Seremban uncle used in passing tells us bout stories which we can learn in passing. More often then not he would sit with us cousing and talk about the story of Farmer and Dobiman praying to God, The Dobiman would wish for sun so all his clothes would dry so every night he would pray, Dear God please give me Sun. The farmer on the other hand would pray for rain so his crops would not die. So on so forth, before shooting out mouths off he would come out with the moral of the story, we would sit in awe and listen.

God
: Let me ask you something. If someone prays for patience, you think God gives them patience? Or does he give them the opportunity to be patient? If he prayed for courage, does God give him courage, or does he give him opportunities to be courageous? If someone prayed for the family to be closer, do you think God zaps them with warm fuzzy feelings, or does he give them opportunities to love each other?

Birthday of Ganesha/Vinayagar

VINAYAGAR CHATURTHI CELEBRATIONS Vinayagar Chaturthi is grandly celebrated in Malaysia. All Vinayagar temples celebrate this festival. Other temples also often celebrate it, especially if there is no Vinayagar temple in that area. Vinayagar Chaturthi falls on the 4th day of the new moon in the month of Aavani (August-September).

Happy celebrating it

Malaysian Politics

Malaysian politics is somehtign I have strong view but rarely blog about but I felt compelled to.

Growing up since the 70's Malaysia is what we make it out to be, so I was a bit surprised as of late I get flooded with email and sms calling for rights and equality and abolishments and etc etc etc. Such one recently was our Foreign Minister Dato Seri Syed Hamid Albar. So here I was resigning my self to a lovely Friday when emails and sms bout the Hardtalk program and encouraging my to watch it.

"Malaysia is not an easy country to govern. It is easier for commentators to say this is wrong, this is wrong. but, i think, you have to live in it, to see how to govern the country. I think, overall, we are very happy to see what is happening in our country. What ever weaknesses we will overcome.""

He did say one important thing, we as Malaysian have the power to change, if the opposition or the chinese parties or the indian parties want to make a change there is nothing in the law to stop them

So I watched it over the net, listen to the interviews, then read the online comments about it.

In the end what difference did it make? It just a politician talking about our country, did you expect the guy to say, yes and your right to all that was thrown at him?

Come on, he is doing that he is born to do, defend the country, paint a picture all is right.

Where we are is where we are coz the majority that have the right to make a decision and made it via the electoral box. Every time an election comes along all this come up but when it comes to the ballot boxes the majority wins.

True we dun have a strong opposition and your caught between a rock and hard place, the people that represent the races aint got the balls to make a change, this is the race based party elected to power by us and this race based party seem not to be echoing the same thing, maybe they dun seee it that way, so who is wrong?

Are we over hyping? Barking up the wrong tree coz the people who represent us dun see it the same way.

We did not get here over night but lately it seem we are making a lot of noise and not a whole lot of action, and this will go on and on and on.....

Heck the majority is winning!!!

English Rose Dragged thru the mud

4 years ago anything remotely British was hailed as the English rose raise up to win the world cup, but last night as I watched the rose against the boks the rose were anythign but them self.

The English rose was trampled and kicked out of the park as they were whitewashed by the South Afrikans

A frigging 36-0

PARIS, Sept 14 (Reuters) - South Africa humiliated England 36-0 in a Pool A mismatch at the Stade de France on Friday to set themselves up for a real challenge for the trophy they last won in 1995 and leave the holders in total disarray.

The Springboks were superior in every department and were inspired by a superlative display by scrumhalf Fourie Du Preez, who set up all three tries, two for winger JP Pietersen.

It was England's first World Cup defeat since losing a 1999 quarter-final to the Springboks on the same Stade de France pitch -- which until now had been their worst World Cup defeat.

It was also the first time they failed to score a point since losing 18-0 to South Africa on the "Tour of Hell" nine years ago.

Sha na na

Sha Na Na was the name of a syndicated variety series that ran from 1977 to 1981.

I had awesome memories of them being too young to remember each other names but one guy really stood out.. BOWZER. He was the bass singer of the group. He'd do all the low bass stuff from all the song they sing especially in the ending song.... classic, trying to show off his biceps and the funny arm movement that I would often mimic when I was a small Vadai. Really worth reminiscing bout them

During the shows' opening after the cast and guests are mentioned Myers kicks off the show by saying "And now, here they are, all greased up and ready to sing their brains out, Sha Na Na!" while Jon "Bowzer" Bauman would close out each show by saying "Good night, and grease for peace!" with Sha Na Na singing "Goodnight, Sweetheart, Goodnight" as their closing theme song.

Goodnight Sweetheart Goodnight

Originally performed by the 5 piece doo-wop group The Spaniels
Written in 1954, it was a #5 R&B hit
Written by Calvin Carter and James (Pookie) Hudson (lead singer for The Spaniels)
Re-released by The McGuire Sisters
Popularized in the 1970s by the group Sha Na Na, who used it to close their TV show each week.

Goodnight sweetheart, well it's time to go,
Goodnight sweetheart, well it's time to go,
I hate to leave you but I really must say,
Goodnight sweetheart, goodnight.

Goodnight sweetheart, well it's time to go,
Goodnight sweetheart, well it's time to go,
I hate to leave you but I really must say,
Goodnight sweetheart, goodnight.

Well it's three o'clock in the morning
Baby I just can't git right??
Well I hate to leave you baby,
Don't mean maybe,
Because I love you so.

Goodnight sweetheart, well it's time to go,
Goodnight sweetheart, well it's time to go,
I hate to leave you but I really must say,
Oh goodnight sweetheart, goodnight.

Mother, and your father
Don't like it if I stay here too long
One kiss in the dark,
And I'll be going,
You know I hate to go.

Goodnight sweetheart, well it's time to go,
Goodnight sweetheart, well it's time to go,
I hate to leave you but I really must say,
Oh goodnight sweetheart, goodnight.

An interesting article

Having a best friend is so not cool ... seriously

PETALING JAYA: It's official - having a best friend is now deemed as an "uncool" thing among the youth.

A recent study concluded that the best friend concept is becoming a thing of the past, with youths preferring instead to hang out with a core peer group (simply put: A bunch of buddies).
