Malaysian Politics

Malaysian politics is somehtign I have strong view but rarely blog about but I felt compelled to.

Growing up since the 70's Malaysia is what we make it out to be, so I was a bit surprised as of late I get flooded with email and sms calling for rights and equality and abolishments and etc etc etc. Such one recently was our Foreign Minister Dato Seri Syed Hamid Albar. So here I was resigning my self to a lovely Friday when emails and sms bout the Hardtalk program and encouraging my to watch it.

"Malaysia is not an easy country to govern. It is easier for commentators to say this is wrong, this is wrong. but, i think, you have to live in it, to see how to govern the country. I think, overall, we are very happy to see what is happening in our country. What ever weaknesses we will overcome.""

He did say one important thing, we as Malaysian have the power to change, if the opposition or the chinese parties or the indian parties want to make a change there is nothing in the law to stop them

So I watched it over the net, listen to the interviews, then read the online comments about it.

In the end what difference did it make? It just a politician talking about our country, did you expect the guy to say, yes and your right to all that was thrown at him?

Come on, he is doing that he is born to do, defend the country, paint a picture all is right.

Where we are is where we are coz the majority that have the right to make a decision and made it via the electoral box. Every time an election comes along all this come up but when it comes to the ballot boxes the majority wins.

True we dun have a strong opposition and your caught between a rock and hard place, the people that represent the races aint got the balls to make a change, this is the race based party elected to power by us and this race based party seem not to be echoing the same thing, maybe they dun seee it that way, so who is wrong?

Are we over hyping? Barking up the wrong tree coz the people who represent us dun see it the same way.

We did not get here over night but lately it seem we are making a lot of noise and not a whole lot of action, and this will go on and on and on.....

Heck the majority is winning!!!
