Its Done

As by lunch today the rites were done and I was back to work. Personally it was a hard night for me but you got to do what you got to do.

I been apart or visited many funral homes each wiht a different way of celebrating/mourning the passing. Each has its own characteristics.

He lived 30 years on this land, did his right and wrongs but to only judge him by his wrongs and not his right is brutal but thats the way society is. Grief is a funny thing each has a different style or expressing and controlling.

Alas he is laid to rest, a job well done and condolences to the family.

Usually when an event like this - death- happen to someone close or related you start to ponder, evaluate, question of how prepared you are for death. At an unplanned eulogy the speaker said why be afraid of death taking a passage from a book. I tracked it down. Lovely

"Why are you afraid of death? Is it perhaps because you do not know how to live? If you knew how to live fully, would you be afraid of death?

If you loved the trees, the sunset, the birds, the falling leaf; if you were aware of men and women in tears, of poor people, and really felt love in your heart, would you be afraid of death? Would you? Don't be persuaded by me. Let us think about it together. You do not live with joy, you are not happy, you are not vitally sensitive to things; and is that why you ask what is going to happen when you die?

Life for you is sorrow, and so you are much more interested in death. You feel that perhaps there will be happiness after death. But that is a tremendous problem, and I do not know if you want to go into it. After all, fear is at the bottom of all this - fear of dying, fear of living, fear of suffering. If you cannot understand what it is that causes fear and be free of it, then it does not matter very much whether you are living or dead.""Fear of Death?" - The Book of Life (November 12)

So live life. I am, people will question, judge and advise you but only you will know what you want and if your contended. Me I dun fear death. I have lived for I need to life and for myself and done all I need to do so I do not fear it

Organizing a Funeral

I feel numb. Mind was racign been on the phones all day. I stand better organized from my office then being in the hospital.

I was called in to help with the arrangement,I have done 7 funerals and 4 weddings - 3 of them 1st hand to know whats are the ares to be covered. 6 of us coordinating the funeral. The critical aspect of funerals in the following particular order

- Inform all and let the networks expand.
- Determine any overseas relatives they want to to be present, in this case yes. Confirm flight arrivals and extimates
- Book the priest and set the Funeral time
- Meanwhile get the Death Cert, get the burial/cremation permit and book the location.
Now you have the funeral time, location, priest, announcement and burial place all done

Next stage will be setting up the house.
- Get the tent, tanles cloth and all necessary
- Cover all the deity pics and rearrange the hall
- Get the bathign area ready.
- Get the list to purchase the thing and send someone to get them
- Get song books, trays banana leafs flowers etc etc etc

After that go with the flow.

Pretty much thats it

So tomorrow will be the funeral

Celebrate Pongal in its True Spirit

Pongal
is an important festivial of South India that falls in the mid-January every year. Pongal marks the auspicious beginning of Uttarayana, the Sun's movement northward & also the harvesting time. Traditional activities mark the four-days-long Pongal celebrations. Cows are bedecked with ornaments & taken out in processions. House entrance is decorated with beautiful Kolam designs. In Tamil Nadu, Pongal is also a sweet porridge recipe cooked from the new rice.

Pongal is the only festival of Hindu that follows a solar calendar and is celebrated on the fourteenth of January every year. Pongal has astronomical significance: it marks the beginning of Uttarayana, the Sun's movement northward for a six month period.

That is today here.

Pneumonia is an illness of the lungs and respiratory system in which the alveoli (microscopic air-filled sacs of the lung responsible for absorbing oxygen from the atmosphere) become inflamed and flooded with fluid. Pneumonia can result from a variety of causes, including infection with bacteria, viruses, fungi, or parasites. Pneumonia may also occur from chemical or physical injury to the lungs, or indirectly due to another medical illness, such as lung cancer or alcohol abuse.

Typical symptoms associated with pneumonia include cough, chest pain, fever, and difficulty breathing. Diagnostic tools include x-rays and examination of the sputum. Treatment depends on the cause of pneumonia; bacterial pneumonia is treated with antibiotics.

Dreams of Death

You would not be surprised to find countless number of web sites that are out there dedicate to dreams.

As of late I been having wierd dreams of being stabbed and most scary is my dreams of death.

Dreams of Being Stabbed

To dream that you have been stabbed, signifies your struggle with power. You may be experiencing feelings of inadequacy and defensiveness. Alternatively, you may be feeling betrayed as the popular phrase goes, "being stabbed in the back".

To dream that you stab someone, indicates your fear of betrayal and your untrusting nature. You may be too much on the defensive.

Dreams of Death
Death or dying in a dream seldom refers to an actual death. Death refers to changes in one's life, or attitudes toward certain persons, or fears of dying. Here are some possibilities of what death, dying or a dead person may represent in a dream. Death is a motif and may be the central motif of the dream.

Basic meaning: The old is dying; make way for new beginnings.

Jnr Vadai gets Chicken Pox

1st his mom, then his uncle now him. Proudly calling me on the phone to say he got chicken pox. Cilaka that fella. Telling what the pantang, what he must do and all wakakakaak

Its lucky he gets it early, I got mine at age of 20

Chickenpox, also spelled chicken pox, is the common name for Varicella simplex, classically one of the childhood infectious diseases caught and survived by most children.

Chickenpox is caused by the varicella-zoster virus (VZV), also known as human herpes virus 3 (HHV-3), one of the eight herpes viruses known to affect humans. It starts with conjunctival and catarrhal symptoms, moderate fever and then characteristic spots appearing in two or three waves, mainly on the body and head rather than the hands and becoming itchy raw pox (pocks), small open sores which heal mostly without scarring.

Chickenpox has a two-week incubation period and is highly contagious by air transmission two days before symptoms appear. Following primary infection there is usually lifelong protective immunity from further episodes of chickenpox. Recurrent chickenpox is fairly rare but more likely in people with compromised immune systems.

11am on a Thursday morning

Frigging idiots

Scenario

We quote version 1 for 9 panels on a price an agreement

Then we quote version 2 for the same panel with further 10% on the price agreement

Then email comes in Dec 21 please quote 2 pcs of one item of the panel. By business laws you use the last price you quoted them.

Now you not happy with them you go a head and quote a list price

WTF

Dun blame me when you do not specify which price to put in. You want something done spell it out in black and white

Unique Circumstances

Arthur Abbott: Say a man and a woman both need something to sleep in and both go to the same men's pajama department. The man says to the salesman, "I just need bottoms," and the woman says, "I just need a top." They look at each other and that's the 'meet cute.'

When you have a situation where by there is a compromise between 2 people who cant see eye to eye or are in a compromise for an equal interest then you have 'meet cute'

Interesting how life presents it self with many 'meet cute' situations and yet people expect more then we present on paper.

Same as work or any other environment that we engulf ourself daily. Its there

Open you eyes... dun expect more then there is or belief in more then you shout ... in the end... life is like a box of chocolates

Turning a new leaf -- naaaaaaahhh

Iris: It seems I had it all wrong. It turns out you'll go somewhere new and meet people who make you feel worthwhile again.

All night

This is gonna be one of those long nights, I start at the ticket then toss it aside, try to focus on work but mind is blank, 1st round review is in 30 minutes, hope we get to sleep tonight.

Wish we could pull the plug on this

Despair & Dejected

Firstly Kop bushed whacked, no reason to be in that state

Secondly, my so called getaway, escape, breakaway from work to a far far away land for Thursday , never materialized, imagine ticket in hand, arrangements all made at both ends and the things that screws it up is the late delivery of the printers and a tender closing.

Just once, just once when I though I could have they moment of breakaway it comes crashing all around, will try again

Damm its not good and still working around the clock.

What Is Gratitude?

# a feeling of thankfulness and appreciation;

# Gratitude is a positive emotion which involves a feeling of emotional indebtedness towards another person, often accompanied by a desire to thank them or reciprocate a favour.

lets us not forget things other do for us

Gratitude is when memory is stored in the heart and not in the mind. --Sam N. Hampton

Billy Joel - Piano Man - Friggin awesome lalalalaala

It's nine o'clock on a Saturday
The regular crowd shuffles in
There's an old man sitting next to me
Makin' love to his tonic and gin

He says, "Son, can you play me a memory?
I'm not really sure how it goes
But it's sad and it's sweet and I knew it complete
When I wore a younger man's clothes"

La la la, de de da
La la, de de da da da

Chorus:
Sing us a song, you're the piano man
Sing us a song tonight
Well, we're all in the mood for a melody
And you've got us feelin' alright

Now John at the bar is a friend of mine
He gets me my drinks for free
And he's quick with a joke or to light up your smoke
But there's someplace that he'd rather be
He says, "Bill, I believe this is killing me."
As the smile ran away from his face
"Well I'm sure that I could be a movie star
If I could get out of this place"

Oh, la la la, de de da
La la, de de da da da

Now Paul is a real estate novelist
Who never had time for a wife
And he's talkin' with Davy who's still in the navy
And probably will be for life

And the waitress is practicing politics
As the businessmen slowly get stoned
Yes, they're sharing a drink they call loneliness
But it's better than drinkin' alone

Chorus

It's a pretty good crowd for a Saturday
And the manager gives me a smile
'Cause he knows that it's me they've been comin' to see
To forget about life for a while
And the piano, it sounds like a carnival
And the microphone smells like a beer
And they sit at the bar and put bread in my jar
And say, "Man, what are you doin' here?"

Oh, la la la, de de da
La la, de de da da da

Chorus

They say this song is actually based on real events that happened while billy joel was playing at small piano bars or bars in general while he was getting screwed over with a contract. THe people in the song real and everythign about them real and the waitress who is practicing politics is his first ex wife.

Piano bars are notorious places for various people who have given up on life or who are at dead ends. The place of the "confirmed bachelor" as the cliche goes.

In any event, the song is great because it just illustrates so well how a simple musician can inspire so many people and great sing along tune

Mamak

So much for Futsal and Barnyard last night ended up with Cleo and gang. Beeem had mooted the idea Sunday night I politely decline as I had futsal.

Upon hearing few was going and the rain indirectly change my mind and a phone call from makcik did help in away. Lacy had her FIL dinner, Maria still without transport.

Kalai and Beem picked Cleo up and Warren offered to pick me, Marie not knowing where it is with grandma and Azie met at Bisik as we all climb into Warren's Nissan Sentra instead of Nissan Sunny.

All in all 7 of us in a good enjoyment. It was ncie. Headed home while some went to jam else where. Nice to meet makcik

Horrible Monday

The battle to get the office downstairs took a nasty turn when my boss had to defend me on the priorities I had in place. He stood his ground despite all protest and I was happy he was protecting my ass. The interner need a kick in the ass

We need to deploy 4 units of high end printers, I finally got support staff under me even though I have to whip them into shape.

Mum's 70th Birthday coming around and she is adamant we should not celebrate...sigh one of those days. Here we are scraping the barrel trying to commemorate her 70 years and the slam the door shut.

Ironically a week later they having a big party for my number 6 who is turning 60. How do you explain the basis...... give up

I send out an invite for a bday to 12 people and only one... I repeat only ONE wants to question the manner and the justification and more ridiculously how I would conduct my self. Oi if you get an invite either come or dun come, dun play 20 questions with me, Wont work anymore. Dun want to come your choice. If want to come, then come with an open mind not an questioning mind.

M sick and tired by people who want to judge both sides of my action. Frens will come and go, the rest is bla bla bla

Kaffee: Is the colonel's underwear a matter of national security? .
-Why wori bout the underware just the attire cukup. Dun poke the nose into thing that are underneath.

Felicia read my blog and I stuck to my guns. I got a phone call of rambling this and that , I mean like wei there comes a time all the dram and cock and bull story wont help. If you want to show up show up la. I aint not kiddo at a playground

Kops Down

The most dejecting event from this weekend has been the Kops going down to the Gunners 3-1. I mean like they dominated the game and out of the FA cup. I mean like everytime there is a up swing in the moment somethign like this comes along.

I really hope they win something this year

Saying goodbye

I said goodbye to a lot of people in recent time over the last 6 mth especially, grandma, FV, jaki, and a few others why? Coz it was time to move on, not by choice or circumstances but by reality. Too many people held on to the past too many times.

They could not grasp the reality so Bye bye

Cleo Party

Firstly I already told I be late as I had my reasons, when I arrived the star of the party was late!! sigh Azie was there and we got a bet going about Philip wain b4 the night was done. She is lovely

It was lovely to see Cleo and she brought along splatters. Grandma was dating David who coincidental was his bday. I manage to get the band to wish him H-bday

I saw Sam outside and spent a lot of time talkin with him so proud of him. Must drink with him when I have the chance to celebrate

2 unexpected ppl showed up, they did not bother to saw hello so fuck them. I left on my own accord leaving behind people who pretend to be friends and people who pretend to have false relationships wakakakak

Its really nice to meet Cleo, Marie and Azie, Marie talking of wedding bells and I really hope it works out for her and her Blondie. Marie and I kind of drifted apart I sometimes m lost in how to interact with her at time seem like 2 strangers

at least I get to sing at her wedding. Angie despite asking time and place did not show up. Maria also the same. Commie was out, Jen out, Dom dun know, Kalai and Beem each on their own holiday. David arrived conquered and left. Well he should have given grandma a lift instead of letting her take a cab. Anyway not my business just an observation.

Wanna celebrate my bday. Sadly pool lost 3-1

How I Spent my New Year Part 1

After a few weeks of shuttling around, making time for me self in the company of strangers at times and sleeping and wierd places its damm good to be back home. Home yeah my double sized bed all to my self. To snuggle into familiar sheets feel the rhythmic swing of my fan and

I awoke today to work. It feels good to be back... when I get home mainly it mean getting up to speed wiht the office work, chores, list, bills etc etc but I aint complaining.

New Year,

honestly I was more engrossed withthe holiday break then to actually realise or accept or plan for new year. I herbinated this new year.

New Year are full of rituals
you got your New Year's Resolutions (and they usually amount to: eat less, exercise more).
Then you got the list The best off the worst off the top 10 the top 100

The you got Tagging...you get some emial saying you hav been tagged DUH!!!

So far, i've seen myself tagged at least six times.

Here's another issue.... Who are YOU? If i'm supposed to list five things that you don't know about me and i don't know who you are, then how do i know that you don't know it? I mean, some of you probably don't even know the most basic facts about me. Blurness setting in

EACH January, I, like most other folks, make New Year's resolutions. And, I, like most other folks, very rarely stick to them. But this year, I've decided to make only one resolution. That's right, just one. But it's one that--if I pull it off--could change my life forever.

To Quote Jen's Blog

.................................................
*looks at the vadai... glad you changed your water pump now when we told you to?*

Fucking Hell Yeah!!!!

However, after observing the water through the radiator cap, note that there are bubbles in the water system...
*sighs*
(head gasket leakage)

Now where have I heard that before

Which means that this weekend is set aside to do some car repairs.
(looks at the vadai again.... wanna join in?)

Instant Hard on
waakakakakakak Hell Yeah

Jen sms me at almost 1am in the morning bout asking if I be interested to repair the car over the weekend. Dude must you ask!!! Lagi pun m free and got nothing to do not any dates waakakakakaak except FA Cup

Artist: Jason Mraz Song: You and I Both

"Was it you who spoke the words that things would happen but not to me"

This song had me hooked from the very first line. Anyways, I think this is a song about two people who love each other very much but understand that their love might not last forever ("if nothing else I'll think the bells inside/have finally found you someone else") but if that happens, they'll still have positive memories about the relationship ("I'll remember everything you sang"). Still damm jiwang

Was it you who spoke the words that things would happen but not to me
Oh things are gonna happen naturally
Oh taking your advice I'm looking on the bright side
And balancing the whole thing
But often times those words get tangled up in lines
And the bright lights turn to night
Until the dawn it brings
Another day to sing about the magic that was you and me

Cause you and I both loved
What you and I spoke of
And others just read of
Others only read of the love, the love that I love.

See I'm all about them words
Over numbers, unencumbered numbered words
Hundreds of pages, pages, pages forwards
More words then I had ever heard and I feel so alive

You and I, you and I
Not so little you and I anymore
And with this silence brings a moral story
More importantly evolving is the glory of a boy

Cause you and I both loved
What you and I spoke of
And others just dream of
And if you could see me now
Well I'm almost finally out of
I'm finally out of
Finally deedeedeedee
Well I'm almost finally, finally
Well I'm free, oh, I'm free

And it's okay if you have go away
Oh just remember the telephone works both ways
And if I never ever hear them ring
If nothing else I'll think the bells inside
Have finally found you someone else and that's okay
Cause I'll remember everything you sang

Cause you and I both loved what you and I spoke of
and others just read of and if you could see now
well I'm almost finally out of.
I'm finally out of, finally, deedeeededede
well I'm almost finally, finally, finally out of words.

Love Me Lyrics by Collin Raye

I happen to hear this song played by Mark over the guitar been searching it for ever so long. Damm kau and nice

Love Me Lyrics by Collin Raye

I read a note my grandma wrote back in 1923
Grandpa kept it in his coat and he showed it once to me
He said," Boy you might not understand, but a long long time ago
Grandma's daddy din like me noone, but I loved your grandma so
We had this crazy plan to meet, and run away together
Get married in the first towm we come to and live forever
But nailed to the tree where we supposed to meet instead
i found this letter and this is what it said

*If you get ther before I do, don't give up on me
I'll meet you when my chores all through, I don't know how long I'll be
But i'm not gonna let you down, Darling wait and see
But between now and then till I see you again
I'll be loving you..love me

I read those words just hours before my grandma passed aways
In the doorway of a church where me and grandpa stopped to ray
I know I never seen him cry in all my fifteen years
But as he said those words to her
His eyes filled up with tears
*
And between now and then till I see you again
I'll be loving you... love me

Vindicated - Truth

This is the Chinese character for truth.

"When I tell the truth, it is not for the sake of convincing those who do not know it, but for the sake of defending those that do."

A few years back as I building my base in KL, I was confronted with a serious predicament.I situation had surfaced and accusations were hurled. The truth was stretched further then it should because some people wanted to benefit from it. There was crucial personal information that only 2 parties could have known.

I stood my ground at that time defending who I should, defended for reason best known to me. A lot of my credibility was questioned both in real and online and weather the stretched truth was true.

I could have denied it, I could have said no, I could have let everyone who told me things in confidence to suffer. In the end I would have been in the clear and rest would have suffered. I aint no knight in shining armour but I got my stand and I stood my ground. I zipped my mouth and defended who I trusted. I fought hard to defend people I should defend. The rest burned me. Even when I told them to trust me, they never did.

So I let them move on. Why? Coz if someone dont trust you as a friend whats the point of the drama to keep them as a friend. So for over 1 year I let them go, let them move on and now when I have truth in my hands do I want them to know? Nah Why? No point. At the time when I need to you to stand by me as a friend, you let me down. We have all moved on from that chapter. Not here to blame them either

In the end I am vindicated.

Sounds familiar doesnt it. It has come to light now, who orchestrated the whole drama, who stood to gain from it and who was victimised and most important how they came to know crucial information that only either one could know. The game plan was to break the symphony up when there was nothing wrong. The only thing wrong from it was they would stand to lose everything. Meaning what ever they were using their friends for now would be lost. Why? Jealousy? Dependency? Manipulating people and action for the benefit of a singular hmmmm

Revenge for that incident (oh so so so sweet)

The truth has out and what I believed and trusted in some people makes me feel good. I am happy. I could go around and say "na-na-na-na" I told you so, but for what purpose. I know I was right to defend who I should when I should. I was right to believe in what I believed.. and now with out without people I lost along the way I am still here.

When you come to the end of all the light you know, and it's time to step into the darkness of the unknown, faith is knowing that one of two things shall happen: Either you will be given something solid to stand on or you will be taught to fly.

I flew and I am on my feet.

It's water! Somebody is trying to sober you up

Punch him

People are standing around urinals, talking or putting on makeup

You're in the ladies' room

Do not use urinal! Excuse yourself, exit and try the next door down the hall. Try to get phone numbers (optional)

Hands hurt, nose hurts, mind unusually clear

You have been in a fight

Apologize to everyone you see, just in case it was them

Don't recognize anyone, don't recognize the room you're in

You've wandered into the wrong party

See if they have free beer

Your bedroom is painted gray, has a concrete floor and an interesting steel door. Toilet may be conveniently located next to your bunk

a. You're in jail

b. You're in the navy

Sleep it off, you can always get out tomorrow. Don't talk to your new roommate, and under no circumstances sleep on your stomach

You are dancing to a Village People song, and your partner is wearing leather chaps

You're in a gay bar

Keeping your back to the wall, edge toward nearest exit. Do not accept offers for backrubs

Your singing sounds distorted

The beer is too weak

Have more beer until your voice improves

Don't remember the words to the song

Beer is just right

Play air guitar

Things we do - without bragging

Things we do without bragging

We go thru life with a lot of things said and unsaid, done and undone, a lot of things we do we dun explain coz that's the way we are. Doesn't matter if to should a responsibility, carry a burden, to accept a blame ....whatever

A family is an important thing a fact I drive into my family time and time again. Dun let the society know what can be kept within 4 walls. Don't know if that is good or not but it works for me. There are thing between me and certain members in my family I carry to my grave.

My family is big, 9 uncles itself on one side and so was the function I spoke about, No 5 is the uncle (the bride's daughter), he is the kind of fella who got ego (like me) got pride (hell yeah) and does thing without even his wife knowing, (not bad things la but helping people)

No 1 is my eldest uncle, ageing, I hold him in the highest respect, I make sure I visit him every chance I get and for Deepavali or New Year (Hindu) we all pay him a visit. Dun let me get started bout problems with his successful kids(sigh). He knows about my life and we often sit and talk, he is old school.

So he came for the function, and was quiet. He called for me (me being the superman working like a dog making everything perfect for no 5's function, jaga the food, the ice the drinks), in an indirect way he ask me for angpau packet to bless the bride He took 20 ringgit out of his wallet and that all that was there. Fucking kids dun make sure the elders got duit or not when come for function. The joke is all I had in my wallet was 10 bucks. KNN. Told no 1 I will get him the packet quietly and gently pushed aside his wallet. He look at me and eyes said a lot.

I went to no 5 ask him pinjam 50, he told me to go and take from his room. Could not find an angpau packet I went and asked him. He followed me to the room then he asked me why? Weather I did not have money to give the bride etc etc. So I finally told him why and who it was for.

This is his character. No 5 took RM 201 put in the angpuy and put it in his pocket and said he will take care of it. As he walked out it was time to bless the child. No 5 escorted No1 and said loudly for all to head "Annai (Brother) here is the angpau packet you asked me to hold on to" and so he blessed the bride to be (pics below). I had tears in my eyes and No 5 patted me on my back and the function went on. Ironically I was proud of what he did and was narrating to Jen the other day. Later on when No1 was leaving I assisted him to his car. He grasp my hands and I just smile.

Asshole kids

We do the things we do not for name, not for publicity but at times when its the right thing to do. As I type this, in my pad I was vindicates over a dramatic incident that took place a few years back. I stood my ground, zipped up and trusted who I need to trust. Today I know the truth and those who did not believe have moved on. M happy. this is for another blog

As usual Jnr Vadai was in his element pics below

Cinta - The Movie

Having watched the movie Love Actually I could not help but see the way the movie was interlinked. Love Actually was awesome not just coz Hugh Grant was in it. Same as in Cinta not just coz Dato Rahim Razali was in it. But it there was ever an icing on the cake for the movie it would be his performance and and that of the young girl in the movie whose parents were going thru a divorce.

Its a movie worth watching. Definitely!!!

Boyz II Men - It's So Hard To Say Goodbye To...

How do I say goodbye to what we had?
The good times that made us laugh
Outweigh the bad.
I thought we'd get to see forever
But forever's gone away
It's so hard to say goodbye to yesterday.
I don't know where this road
Is going to lead.
All I know is where we've been
And what we've been through.
If we get to see tomorrow
I hope it's worth all the wait
It's so hard to say goodbye to yesterday.
And I'll take with me the memories
To be my sunshine after the rain
It's so hard to say goodbye to yesterday.
And I'll take with me the memories
To be my sunshine after the rain
It's so hard to say goodbye to yesterday.
