Things we do - without bragging

Things we do without bragging

We go thru life with a lot of things said and unsaid, done and undone, a lot of things we do we dun explain coz that's the way we are. Doesn't matter if to should a responsibility, carry a burden, to accept a blame ....whatever

A family is an important thing a fact I drive into my family time and time again. Dun let the society know what can be kept within 4 walls. Don't know if that is good or not but it works for me. There are thing between me and certain members in my family I carry to my grave.

My family is big, 9 uncles itself on one side and so was the function I spoke about, No 5 is the uncle (the bride's daughter), he is the kind of fella who got ego (like me) got pride (hell yeah) and does thing without even his wife knowing, (not bad things la but helping people)

No 1 is my eldest uncle, ageing, I hold him in the highest respect, I make sure I visit him every chance I get and for Deepavali or New Year (Hindu) we all pay him a visit. Dun let me get started bout problems with his successful kids(sigh). He knows about my life and we often sit and talk, he is old school.

So he came for the function, and was quiet. He called for me (me being the superman working like a dog making everything perfect for no 5's function, jaga the food, the ice the drinks), in an indirect way he ask me for angpau packet to bless the bride He took 20 ringgit out of his wallet and that all that was there. Fucking kids dun make sure the elders got duit or not when come for function. The joke is all I had in my wallet was 10 bucks. KNN. Told no 1 I will get him the packet quietly and gently pushed aside his wallet. He look at me and eyes said a lot.

I went to no 5 ask him pinjam 50, he told me to go and take from his room. Could not find an angpau packet I went and asked him. He followed me to the room then he asked me why? Weather I did not have money to give the bride etc etc. So I finally told him why and who it was for.

This is his character. No 5 took RM 201 put in the angpuy and put it in his pocket and said he will take care of it. As he walked out it was time to bless the child. No 5 escorted No1 and said loudly for all to head "Annai (Brother) here is the angpau packet you asked me to hold on to" and so he blessed the bride to be (pics below). I had tears in my eyes and No 5 patted me on my back and the function went on. Ironically I was proud of what he did and was narrating to Jen the other day. Later on when No1 was leaving I assisted him to his car. He grasp my hands and I just smile.

Asshole kids

We do the things we do not for name, not for publicity but at times when its the right thing to do. As I type this, in my pad I was vindicates over a dramatic incident that took place a few years back. I stood my ground, zipped up and trusted who I need to trust. Today I know the truth and those who did not believe have moved on. M happy. this is for another blog

As usual Jnr Vadai was in his element pics below
