Afdlin Shauki vs MAS Stewardess

Not this is friggin riot. Either someone is on a power trip or our preceptions are so wrong.

Firstly, Buli Balik is a comedy. When it a comedy you same non-malicious pot shots at everyday lives and that normal. Do you go and sue LAT? Give em a break

Let me intro the case as positivelty as I can

On the left corner....

Today's Malay Mail

KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysia Airlines Flight Attendants Association (MAFAA) wants a written apology from Afdlin Shauki, one of the executive producers of the comedy, Buli Balik.
The association members feel the reference to stewardesses in the movie as toilet cleaners is demeaning.

“Afdlin must make a written apology to us. Many stewardesses have expressed their unhappiness after reading the story in The Malay Mail yesterday,” said MAFAA secretary-general, Ismail Nasaruddin A.W. Maxwell, in reaction to Afdlin’s comments that no malice was intended towards stewardesses in Buli Balik.

On the right corner
'Afdlin: It’s ridiculous'

KUALA LUMPUR: “Ridiculous,” says Afdlin Shauki when told that the Malaysia Airlines Flight Attendants Association (MAFAA) wants a written apology from him concerning a scene in his recent comedy Buli Balik in which stewardesses were jokingly referred to as toilet cleaners.

“I have already said that there was no malice intended when the movie was made,” said Afdlin when contacted by The Malay Mail yesterday.

“For me, this is a ridiculous issue. It also makes the association (MAFAA) look bad as people would think that they do not have anything else to do.”

I see no one left a comment here and I thought i could be the intelectual one.

Well lets face one face, if it wasn't the malay mail reports from MAS, I think no one would have realized how big a damage it was doing. Now that it's in the papers they are all well known and I think this is only tarnishing their own image. I would agree, it is RIDICULORS to ask for a written apolog. Take 'Jangan Ketawa" or MR BEan for an instance.... it states at the beginning or end of the play that the shoot is entirely fiction and if it relates to anyone in any way they were sorry.

Guess MAS blew their own cover. Perhaps looking for $$$ somewhere to bring back their airline
